My German Shepherd Approves!
My boy GSD Elias absolutely loves his Jolly Ball! This ball is durable, but the handle will start to tear in time. He bites down really hard on his toys and normally destroys them in no time, but this ball has held up amazingly well. It even has a hole on the opposite side that lets the ball deflate when he bites down, then it goes right back into its original shape. It's easily his favorite toy and keeps him entertained for a while. Definitely one of the best dog toys we've bought! We highly recommend!🐾

New favorite!!
Had a smaller ones for two years. Finally wore them out. Handle tore off. No complaints, they were abused daily. Lasted longer than they should have. Got her the 16”. Had doubts when it showed up. Pretty stiff and looked a bit big. Without a doubt her new go to toy. She’s constantly up for the tug a war match. This is the ONLY toy she hasn’t destroyed in 5 minutes! Highly recommend.

Third Jolly Ball — quality has declined and I will not purchase again
This is my third Jolly Ball, so I have a very good basis for comparing the durability of these toys over time. My first one was excellent and held up extremely well despite regular, rough play. Unfortunately, the last two I’ve purchased have had the same problem, which has confirmed for me that the quality is simply not what it used to be. I received this ball on August 11, and within only a few days it was already severely damaged. As the photos show, it has deep punctures and gouges, the handle is breaking apart, and pieces of the material are coming off. My biggest concern is that my dog is now chewing and ingesting those fragments, so I had to take the toy away for safety reasons. This is the exact same reason I ultimately threw away the previous Jolly Ball. After experiencing the same issue with two consecutive balls, I can no longer consider it a one-time defect. I understand that no dog toy is indestructible, particularly with a large, powerful dog. However, that is exactly why I originally continued purchasing Jolly Balls—the first one I owned was remarkably durable and lasted a long time. The durability of the last two has been nowhere near that of the original. Having a toy deteriorate to the point that I have to remove it because my dog could swallow pieces of it—within days of receiving it—is unacceptable to me. After three Jolly Balls and the same problem occurring with the last two, I will no longer purchase this product.

Very entertaining
These toys send our smallest Aussie into a frenzy- something about them scratches all of her play itches! They are tough and the design allows teeth marks without being popped. But first time she was unsupervised she was able to gnaw pieces off the handle. We had to get 2 so the girls won’t fight over them.

Stay inflated even after punctured and chewed but Not for the aggressive chewers
Nova, my Rottie Loved her ball, no matter how many times she bit/punctured the ball it still stayed inflated when she chewed the handle off it stayed inflated. I threw the handle away. I won’t purchase another because she chewed off the handle. We will stick to her egg ball. Both are outdoor balld that she cannot play with indoors. She gets too rowdy and bangs them into everything.

Handle didn’t last
Update: Handle lasted a week and he’s lost interest without the handle but still a decent ball to roll around when he’s in the mood. If you have a chewer and really want a ball with a handle, this one may not hold up (didn’t for us). Our big boy loves balls, especially ones he can carry. And if a ball isn't meant to be carried, he'll find a way to make it happen. He's also a 130-pound Cane Corso and an aggressive chewer, so there are very few balls that survive him for long. This 10-inch Jolly Ball immediately caught his attention. It's a decent size for a big dog, although he'd happily play with something even larger. We've gone through tons of balls, and inflatable ones simply don't stand a chance with him. He can deflate a herding ball in under a minute, so I really like that this Jolly Ball is made from flexible material that won't deflate. Compared to inflatable balls, I expect this one to last much longer. I also really like the soft, flexible material. It seems easier on his teeth than harder balls, and the handle gives him something to grab onto instead of having to sink his teeth directly into the ball. The short video shows him carrying and shaking the ball by the handle, which he really seems to enjoy. The handle is already showing signs that it won't survive him for long. He's started chewing on it, and I'm sure he'll have it separated from the ball before too long. But while it's still attached, he definitely prefers using it to carry and shake the ball. He can carry the ball without the handle, but the handle gives him an easy place to grab. I do wish they made a larger version, but at 10 inches, this is still bigger than most non-inflatable balls I've found. Even with the handle eventually becoming a casualty of our big boy's enthusiasm, the ball itself is a lot of fun and gives him a good way to burn off some energy. With our boy, nothing lasts forever, but he enjoys everything to the fullest while it lasts. And compared to the inflatable balls we've tried, I expect this Jolly Ball to give him considerably more playtime.

Best toy I’ve gotten so far for my Aussie
EDIT; I had to come back and edit my review because after that first day, my dog is OBSESSED with this ball. It’s his favorite thing to play with now! No more issues with his jaw getting caught in the hole of the handle, & he goes crazy over it! I am so glad it turned out this way. Best toy I’ve gotten him so far I think! I wanted to give this a five star review so bad. I had been wanting to get my +50lbs Australian Shepherd one for a while and finally did. First few mins after getting it out of the package he was loving it. Rolling & carrying it around, I was bouncing it for him, he was loving it. But literally in less than 5 mins, I was watching him biting on the handle, & his lower jaw got stuck in the handle part and he yelped. But it was stuck for less than like a few seconds, he got it out. I think he just panicked for a sec. Now, he won’t touch it. I’m hoping that maybe tomorrow he’ll forget what happened and want to play again, but idk. I definitely wouldn’t leave your pets with this toy unattended. I realized afterwards that he most likely can get his bottom jaw stuck in that hole pretty good if he got it in there the wrong way. & if nobody was around I could see that causing an injury. I like the handle part, but now I kinda wish it didn’t have the hole in the middle and was just a solid handle. But, hopefully he’ll stop being afraid of it eventually because he definitely loved it when I first introduced it to him.

VERY DURABLE !!!
This jolly ball has been a staple in my home dog boarding/ daycare business. I have one in each of my 3 play yards. They have held up for many years lying outside year round without the colors fading or material becoming brittle or cracking. They have stayed soft, maintained their shape & color, and been a favorite toy for both small & large dogs. I have a small 12 lb dog that likes to fetch this ball & play tug (which is hilarious because it is about as big as the dog). However it is used mostly by my medium / large dogs that absolutely LOVE it! It is definitely a favorite in the herding breed line, like border collies. While it is extremely durable and super tough and holds up to many teeth puncture marks, it is not indestructible. I have had to replace one of these over the last 3 years that 2 large dogs were able to tear in half after playing tug of war with it for too long. I would recommend not leaving it unattended as a play toy with large dogs unless you are there to monitor. This would make an excellent gift for almost any medium - extra large dog who likes to fetch or retrieve! These have been worth every penny spent for me!

Tough ball
Great ball for my labradoodle, she's a big dog and rough with toys but after a month it seems pretty much indestructible. She enjoys carrying it around by the handle, and the handle is great for throwing it for her. She's able to squeeze it with her teeth but it doesn't pop, just deflates a bit then inflates when she lets go. Great birthday gift for her!

Toll
