Holy crap!!!! 10 outa 10!!! I cannot believe how amazing this grooming tool is! I pretty much never take the time to write Amazon reviews, but people need to know how incredible this thing is! My Golden Retriever has what I believe is spay coat where her undercoat just keeps growing and does not shed out easily! It was poking out all over her shoulders, hips, and sides, making her look absolutely crazy!! almost like she had white frosted tips all over her body. I tried every kind of brush and grooming tool and nothing worked! The undercoat looked completely stuck. I honestly thought she was just going to look like that forever. Then I found this tool and figured it was worth a shot! It absolutely did not disappoint. It got out every bit of that stuck undercoat so easily, and my dog was not uncomfortable at all during the process. The amount of hair it removed was insane, and now she looks like a healthy, normal Golden Retriever! You would not even know she had this issue. I am seriously going to share this on all of her social media because this tool deserves the hype. Worth every single penny!

This GoPets Dematting Comb is the cat's meow LOL! All of my cats have had very short fur so when I adopted my most recent little girl, I just assumed her fur would behave like all my other cats over the years. Well, not so. After a while I noticed her fur getting mats across the shoulder area and the hip area. Close examination indicated that she has an undercoat. Her fur isn't that long but is really, really thick. I've been raw feeding my cats for 15+ years and none of them shed or spit up hair balls after I changed their diet. This new kittie didn't shed per se but she did occasionally lose some of that undercoat. Well, never having had this problem before, I hopped on line and found this item on Amazon. I ordered it right away. I thought if it worked, then great; otherwise I'd have to take her in to be shaved. Cutting the mats out with scissors was not an option since her fur is short and she would not be still. There was too great a danger of me cutting her. I've had the dematting comb less than a week and I praise it. It is a life saver. While she won't hold still for long brushing sessions, she will let me brush her for a few minutes or until the comb catches what is left of a mat. I suspect that until that point the comb has a caressing sensation on her back. Anyway, the mats across her shoulders are almost out, with only the remnants of a couple left to work on. Then we start on her hip area. The comb has two sides and one should start with the wider teeth initially, then once the fur is in shape switch to the finer teeth side. I don't know why or how but this comb works. This dematting comb removes all that loose fur so that new mats will not form if I brush her regularly which I intend to do. One reviewer mentioned getting fur on the soft handle. I didn't have much of a problem in that regard but the few fur strands that did stick rinsed right off. Regardless, I'd still want the soft handle since many cats will move around which would make it hard to hold a hard handle. The brush I was using had a wooden handle and it fell out of my hands several times when she abruptly decided brushing time was over and hopped out of the way. I highly recommend this dematting comb for brushing and removing mats from short fur. It would be wonderful for also brushing and removing tangles from longer haired animals. I don't know about how this would work with long hair after mats formed as that might hurt the cat/dog. However, a quick call to the company could answer that question. I love this dematting comb and my cat mostly tolerates it so that makes this a real winner. I'm projecting that by the end of the month, we'll be mat free. Highly recommended.

Look no further! We took in a stray cat who couldn't clean her back and this thing did wonders for clearing out the mats and clumps. The golden retriever loves it too. Wonderful product. Worth the cost!!! And we have a slew of cheaper brushes that make the border collie run away.

I have a long haired cat ( part Maine Coon). This is the best comb/brush I have found. He loves getting brushed with it and the hair matting is slowly but surely disappearing. Much better than the grooming too, I bought at PETCO.

First use went great! Did not pull or create weird patches of hair and removed a lot of shedding. Works better than a standard metal comb. As far as the physical product, the handle is really comfortable and seems like it’s pretty good quality so far.

It's very sturdy and seems like good quality, but it does not slide effortlessly through my dog's hair like a hot knife in butter as it shows in the video. In fact, he hates it.

Simply amazing! Best brush I've found for med/short hair pups. Works great! I dont recommend for longer haired or curly hair pups since it tends to catch, least on mine. Love the two sides, and that they're curved, dogs get a gentle massage too!

We have a border collie mix who is a moderate shedder. We have lots of other brushes that have been fine but I had resigned myself to the fact that dog hair all over my house was just going to be part of life. Then I tried this brush at a friends house and immediately bought my own. I cannot tell you how much better this brush is than any of the others I have tried. It gets so much hair out each time. I can’t say that she loves it but I will never go back. Worth every penny.

Prior to getting this, I was using standard brushes. Now having this fur rake, it is amazing! The amount of fur that comes off my dog is like nothing else, and he loves it. I look like I have tumbleweeds in my yard whenever I use this thing.

Two large dogs, and surrounded by Moorland, and rough farmland. Ours dogs inevitably come back from their walks with bits of bramble, mud and debris in their coats. Can be a nightmare as the Setter hates being brushed. Our Lab has a thick double coat and thankfully enjoys being brushed and pampered. After a number of years dealing with matted and knotted coats (despite our best efforts) this dematting rake is a revelation. Gentle and so easy to use on both dogs. Even the Setter is very happy that we have purchased this high quality rake, and is looking so very smart now. This is a brilliant tool, and works a treat. Matted hair, and knots are no longer a problem. I have also purchased another rake for our daughters Beardie Collie who lives on a farm. It is just fantastic for keeping her in tip top condition. I highly recommend this rake to everyone, no matter what breed of hairy chum you have. You will not regret your purchase.
