Does this work on Xbox one?

Yes it fits, but XBOX One must be mounted horizontally for it to work properly.

can i mount it with mounting tape

I tried using mounting tape yesterday. Worked for a few hours. What happened was that the heat generated by the cable box softened the adhesive, so we were greeted by a huge THUNK when the whole thing fell to the ground. I considered re-mounting it while cold to allow the adhesive to "set" first but decided to stop messing around and mount it with screws.

Will this fit a cisco 8742HDC?

Yes! The UNI-MW is a perfect fit for the 8742HDC.

Will this mount work for the new black verizon fios cable boxes? not the old thick and wide motorola one.

Hello RAP! Thank you for your interest in our mounts! The dimensions for the Verizon - Motorola 2500 Set-Top Box are actually too big for the UNI-S. The 14.74 inch height, 10.00 inch length, and 2.75 inch depth make the UNI-L the safest choice!
