Perfect Fit Thermostat Housing for My 2002 Dodge 4.7
I installed the Dorman 902-3312 thermostat housing assembly on my 2002 Dodge Ram 4.7, and it fit exactly the way it should. The housing lined up perfectly with the timing cover, the gasket sealed tight, and the thermostat opened right on temperature with no sticking or weird fluctuations. Once everything was bled, the 4.7 held steady temps with zero leaks and no coolant seepage around the housing. The plastic feels solid and much better than the brittle factory housing that tends to warp over time. The sensor port threads are clean, the mounting surface is flat, and the included hardware fits like OEM. Overall: a direct-fit, leak-free replacement that restores proper cooling on the 4.7.

Fit 2007 dodge nitro 3.7 perfectly
Fit perfectly and so far no leaks or anything like that. I've had it installed for 6 months and no issue. I was losing coolant very slowly, like an ounce a month or something small like that. Never saw a leak or spots but after installing this, coolant level has stayed good. Also my temperature has remained what it was before replacement so its as good as Mopar brand.

The housing is ok. Fairly easy to install. The thermostat is junk. The thermostat opens around 140 degrees creating check engine light. Had to get another thermostat and do the job a second time.

Outlasted the vehicle
Very well made. Included a thermostat. It was an easy swap out that fit perfectly, hoses and all, on a 2005 Jeep. No complaints.

Do Not Buy! You will have to do the job twice!
Negative reviews are correct. Adding mine. Thermostat stays open way too low, engine runs cold, now I have a check engine light. 2008 Grand Cherokee 4.7L. Now I have to do the job...again. This is not ok. Amazon/Dorman fix this, NOT compatible!

Good housing
Housing is good . Thermostat is garbage as other have said . Buy this for the housing if you need it and get a seperate thermostat .

Thermostat is faulty
Thermostat is faulty I only use it 2 days and it’s stop working. The housing it self I have no problem.

Temperature is not right for my truck.
My 2002 ram with the 4.7 now runs too cool and throws a code saying it doesn't warm up fast enough. Now I have to replace this one after only a couple weeks. Waste of time and money. There is nothing indicating what temperature this unit is set at it just says "fits my vehicle". My motor needs to be at 195 degrees and this is nowhere near that.
