This is a clever widget! Way better than U-bolt wire clamps. And it's easy to use.
This product is quite clever! Normally when I'm hanging a wire for say, a clothes line or camping item, I use a wire U-clamp with the two tiny nuts. But this is way easier. It's easy to use. You simply feed the wire through the hole in the direction of the arrow, and you're fine. The wire I fed through the hole was frayed, yet it still seemed fairly easy to feed through. And it was easy to release the wire by simply pinching the spring-loaded flange. If you need to wire something up that will need to be removed at the end of summer (or a camping trip) this will definitely be my new go-to widget. Another application for this would be a wire-loop strap. You could wrap it around a thick cord or hose to carry it. All in all, it's a clever invention. The wire doesn't slide through the device until it's pinched. It seems to have a lot of holding power.

Quick and Easy Adjustment
I use these as position-'stops' on a cable. I need to adjust their position several times a day, and these make it very quick and easy. I am deducting one star because pressing the release cylinder is impossible with gloves on, or with very short fingernails, and because one of the cylinder-springs has failed. I guess the designer didn't consider frequent adjustment, or they could have put a little 'handle' or flange on it, to ease release. UPDATE: I've been using these outdoors for about 8 months on 1.5mm stainless rope. They have been through winter rains & dusty conditions. They still work great and have no corrosion. Only one has failed- the release-cylinder return-spring; i still use the other side of that one (it's a double). Wish i could get them for 3mm or larger rope!

Great invention!
these things are amazing. They worked perfectly so much easier than screwing nuts down to tighten onto the cable.

Internal locking bearings fall out after just a few uses
After just a few uses, they will fail as the wire is inserted and pops out the internal locking bearings. When you see three little steel balls fall out, you need to toss the part and grab another. Too many have failed for me, searching for another product.

I'm flustered!
Am I missing something? I see how these work well when you slide a SINGLE stand of 1/16 cable through. But in all the images of hanging lamps I don't see how this is doing anything to adjust the length of the hanging cable. It just sits on the wire. Doesn't the wire have to loop around the lamp and back up?? This would mean TWO stands of cable passing through. But these accommodate only a SINGLE strand of cable. The only way I seem them working is to pass the cable through a hole in some other anchor....like a screw eye, or a hole through some metal object...and then use these to pinch the cable, like the U loop fasteners with little screws. With those you can loop around something to hold the cable. The ad seems misleading to me. The video is somewhat useless illustrating any of these being used on pendant lamps. All that being said, where applicable they are certainly easier than the U-loop fasteners where you fumble and drop the nuts! Clever item. PRICEY. You can get a dozen or more other style fasteners for the same price as one single.
