Really hilarious manga and I would highly recommend. Item arrived quickly and in great condition. Chances are, if you loved the first volume, you'll like the second one even better.

Funny and satirical, and well worth reading. The personification of countries makes for an interesting and memorable take on historical events.

YAY. I just finished. WOW. So amazing book. I read it in Russian and it was amazing to read and see what was showed in anime and what is in manga. I am so happy I read this book. I cannot wait to get 3rd book from USA in English and read it like a zombie. And I cannot wait when 4-5 books will translated to English that I could reserve them in amazon and get faster. I really hope author will draw even more books and create even more seasons of anime. I am in highest madness of Hetalia right now. I think I can even stick their heads on my walls. And all drawings, everything. I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH. :3

As with the anime, this manga is very well thought out and has that right level of sheer gaul to take the complete and total mickey out of the entire world with no holes barred. If you don't like seeing the ironic side of stereotypes and some slurring jokes towards everyone in the world - including the Japanese - then I wouldn't recommend it. However if you can get past that lot, then Hetalia will be a little gem for you to read and enjoy. The bits of history and interesting little factlets that come in are wonderful to read and should be used to embrace a new passion for learning more about the world we live in.

Even though i was worried it wouldn't arrive on time for christmas (All due to the where i live) yet i was over joyed then it arrived on time! Brand Spanking NEW too! Very Very Pleased with it, great christmas present my friend she was delighted with it as i was! Thank you!

Once again, TokyoPop has been able to make the cover look fantastic. Although it is a little different from the original Japanese cover, I might even say, this cover fits better. Like the first volume, this book has also been completely sold out and prices for both old and new have skyrocketed. If there is any shop or person still selling this book for the original price, buy it. However, I do have to warn buyers that a lot of the art is very scratchy. It's not like regular mangas where every detail is professionally done since this was originally a webcomic. To see what the art looks like on the inside is very easy, just Google "Hetalia scanlations" or something along those lines because a lot of site show the inside. Even if you don't read this book, resale would make you a profit. As for volume 3, I had pre-ordered volume 3 of this book but TokyoPop has discontinued all manufacturing from after the beginning of May. Unfortunately Hetalia Vol.3 was scheduled to be released at the end of May. Hopefully a company picks of this series because it's really worth reading.

なんせコマやセリフ枠が狭いので、セリフ文字制限数が多い中 がんばって翻訳しています ただ「ヴェニャー」とか「ぺこー」とかの日丸屋語はさすがに 翻訳が難しいらしく、英語の擬音で代用してますね 「ポコポコ」だけは「ｆｕｍｅ ｆｕｍｅ」とかわいい擬音になってますがｗ 中にはセリフの位置が逆だったりで(イギリス同盟のお風呂上り) イギリスのセリフを日本が考えているようにも見えます 肉じゃがの回などは、肉じゃがを知らない外国人のために 歴史含めてざっと説明してました ちょっとトリビアです １巻についても ちびメリカが「いぎりちゅ」というセリフが 「england」⇒「engwand」と口のまめらない子供ふうの 発音になってたりと、日本語原作と比べてみて楽しい部分の発見もあります 英語勉強の一環のために英語漫画を買い続けてますが …悪いことはいいません、ホントに英語力をつけたかったら まだハリーポッターの原書でも読んだほうがいいと、最近気づきました。 英語は性質上、単に短い文章で表現するだけなら 単語の羅列だけでも意味は通じてしまうため、 文書や地の文などを書こうと思ったら、ちゃんと文法をやらないと 熟語といったところからつまづくんだなあとしみじみ感じました。 まあ、英語を見ることに対するアレルギー解消からやるなら こういった漫画を読むのはいいかと思います。 あ、ヘタリア２巻のレビューじゃないかこれは。 紙質は１巻の時より、よくなりましたよ。 表紙マットPPに本文ハイバルキー 巻末のファンアートのレベルがアップしててびっくり あと、巻末の最後にちびさんデイト英語版の１話が収録されているので 日本語版よりちょっとお得かも？ ただ、また１巻の話になりますが 白虎隊の地へ贈った柱の回で「福島県会津」で見ることができる、が 「福岡県会津」となっていた誤植は早く撤回したほうがいいかと。 （TOKYOPOPに連絡済みです）

I love this series so much, and I was very happy with this manga. I felt like it couldn't come fast enough, but when it did it was like Christmas! xD It was in great condition, brand new and no marks or anything. I was very happy. :)

My daughter loves this series and she actually got interested in the REAL history of WWII from watching the show and reading the book. Anything that inspires that is okay with me. (This series may be offense to some... It has a cast of characters with names like America, Italy, Germany-- and each character is a very stereotypical version of the country they are named for. America is rather self-centered and sits around eating hamburgers a lot. If that is offensive to you, you may want to avoid this series.)
