This product was shipped quickly and got here just in time. Currently I am reviewing this a salt spreader, and will let you know in spring how it works for fertilizer and seed. I bought this after my tailgate salter on my truck had the motor go out on it again and I knew I couldn't get it fixed fast enough with 3 days of storms that were coming only 2 days away. Amazon delivered in 2 days as was promised and in good condition. Assembly of this was simple enough and only required a few sockets and a screw driver. After seeing some of the reviews about assembling it I was a bit worried, so I timed my assembly. Even with my kids watching and asking questions I was able to assemble the whole thing in 23 minutes. Quick tip, don't tighten all the nuts until the whole frame is connected and loosely held together, that will give you the little wiggle you need to get some of the things to line up properly. Just make sure you go back and final tighten everything. Once i had the unit together i went to mount it on my prairie 650, it was easy enough but required removing the plastic rack cover. With that out of the way it only took a few minutes to find good locations for the U bolts and to tighten everything up. Again don't tighten til all 4 are on and you like the position. The whole process took me under 40 minutes. Powering up the unit for me was easy because i have a 7 point trailer plug wired up at the rear of my prairie. This is a simple solution for this and many other items to get 12v power source and pulling small trailers with lights when needed. Some of the people have said it throws salt or seed all over the back of their quad, I'm guessing they cut the lighter adapter off the power lead and connected directly to power. I would also guess the connected the power backwards forgetting that it will still spin with the + an - flipped, just backwards and will spray all over your quad. This is a great little unit, it is able to hold 2 50lb bags of rock salt at a time and spreads with a good cover at about 15' wide. Didn't jam up with rock salt, or chloride. Needs the occasional shake to keep it feeding constant but not a big deal. I didn't have any issues with it spraying salt all over the back of my quad but it could easily have a mud guard mounted between it and mine if I felt it necessary. I have 2 100+ car parking lots that i plow and salt and this got the job done. It has actually replaced my tailgate salter for this season and I will buy a new one of those in the off season, or I might just keep using this depending of how the rest of this season goes.

Versatile and Durable ATV All-Purpose Spreader โ A Fall and Winter Essential
Iโve been using this ATV all-purpose spreader for a while now, and itโs hands-down one of the best tools in my arsenal. In the fall, it makes seeding my lawn a breeze โ the spread pattern is even and consistent, covering large areas quickly and efficiently. When winter hits, it doubles perfectly for spreading salt on the driveway. It handles salt, seed, and even fertilizer without clogging or hassle. The controls are easy to adjust for different materials and spread rates, which helps me avoid waste and keeps my driveway safe and clear. Itโs built tough, holds up well against the elements, and mounts securely on my ATV without shifting. Cleaning after use is straightforward too, which I really appreciate. If you want a reliable spreader that works year-roundโfrom fall lawn care to winter driveway maintenanceโthis oneโs a great investment.

Beats walking
Sooo much better than walking... Works great for larger cereal grains. No way for clover or brassicas. Had to engineer a longer handle to open and close the gate. Will also need to beef up the hardware at some point.

Worked Perfectly!
Easy to Install and works very well, I actually drilled two holes on end and into my mower to make it more secure on my Cub Cadet Mower, couple of bolts on and then off - eazy peazy !

Has potential, but needs help!
I'll preface this review with three things about this spreader, I like it today, it's frustrating to constantly have to make adjustments to it, and I'll dislike it tomorrow. I say this because I like it right now, but tomorrow I'll end up having to spend time unjamming the chute. Early on, I seriously spent more time tweaking it than I did salting my driveway and road to the point where I was a day away from returning it. You have to be a patient person, handy, and really need a product like this. It does seem durable so far, the spreader hopper still looks like new after several uses. As you can see in the video, the chute has two exit holes which end up throwing an impressive amount when it works properly. The assembly wasn't too bad but the grommet was frustrating to install. It took some doing, but once I got past that the assembly was fairly easy. I mounted this (and I use that word loosely) on my 2019 Polaris Sportsman 570. I had to get creative with the mounting of the spreader and leaves a lot to be desired. It works for now, but I'm going to be fabricating a more robust setup in the near future. One major thing that I realized is that this thing needs to almost be level or leaning forward a bit in order work well. You can see my goofy modifications I made in the video to help with that issue and so far it has helped. Overall, buy at your own risk, it'll take some time to get it right. I like it so far but has some shortcomings that can be mitigated with some creativity.

TOTAL FAILURE as a lawn fertilizer spreader.
The ATVS100 Broadcast spreader is a total failure as a lawn fertilizer spreader. The first spreader I ordered from Amazon was returned due to a missing mounting frame member. I ordered a second spreader that has the following problems. Problems with the ATVS100: 1. Never the same broadcast pattern or distance. Very unpredictable. Sometimes even broadcasting off the right side only. I tried attaching a stirring arm to the electric motor shaft to help even the fertilizer flow but there wasnโt enough power to turn when the hopper was half full. 2. Necessary to supplement my early spring fertilizer application with a push broadcast spreader. Fertilizer applications are time sensitive so I made a bad situation work. But I just abandoned this the ATVS100 spreader for my late spring application due to it broadcasting from the right side only. I'm completely fed-up with this spreader. Finished my entire lawn with a push spreader. 3. Poor Packaging: Shipped with the electric motor, mounting hardware, broadcast spinner disc, etc. all loose in one box. No separation compartments, cushioning, or padding. The broadcast spinner disc warped from electric motor weight. 4. Throws fertilizer all over the operator. That was an easy fix by adding a deflector between the spreader and operator. 5. Both plastic control Knobs broke the first use. Another easy fix by adding washers and nuts. 6. This electric spreader checks out top to bottom finding only a couple of loose screws. It's just a very poor design. 7. I do all of my own troubleshooting / repair / maintenance on my mowers and lawn equipment. So, Iโm somewhat shop and tool familiar.

This works. Great value
This thing is awesome, works great with pellet fertilizer and lime. Havenโt tried any seed yet. Spreads in about a 12โ diameter. I made two setups one for the lawn mower and one for the ATV. The ATV worked better for me since I could reach the controls easier and carry extra bags. Youโll need a female cigarette lighter plug with battery clips. I was able to spread 600 pounds in 20 minutes with this over 2 acres.

works with most ATVs and/oir side by sides.
Easy assembly. Seems reasonably stable to move if you don't get crazy. Will come in handy with yard and garden work this summer.

Okay Product with Modifications
Not bad for the price Not exactly universal, but with a few modifications it fit my 2000 Rancher no problem. Biggest problem is with the factory stop on the shut-off. It's not even close. Had to relocate and install a new one. Hopper design would definitely work better with an agitator on the motor shaft. I will be installing a rod through the shaft to help with that issue. Don't install the motor first as per the instructions. Mount the hopper supports first then the motor.

Not worth the money!
Doesnt work worth a darn! Material won't feed down to spinner wheel. You are not able to control the rate because you need to open the chute wide open to have any hope of getting stuff to pay out. With no vibrator it just won't move. I MacGyver'd a paddle on the spreader shaft inside the chute to mix and feed material down the opening, but the motor that turns the spreader wheel isnt strong enough to handle it and it wont turn. Tried it with salt and grass seed. Same result both times. Get a spreader with a vibrator otherwise you will be unhappy.

It's a little janky, but it works
It's on the cheaper side of things construction wise, but it works.
