Collagen Elastin Face Moisturizer for Dry Skin, Paraben free and Non Comedogenic, 10 oz

I’m so glad this product is still around. It was discontinued for a while and my whole family was really disappointed because we could not find anything quite like it. I grew up with my mother and grandmother using this moisturizer, and it is one I still tend to come back to myself. It is a great value for the size and has a very simple, non-sticky texture that absorbs nicely into the skin rather than sitting on top or feeling like it will sweat off later, which can happen with heavier creams. The scent is very mild and lotion-like, which makes it easy to layer with other fragrances without interfering. One of my favorite ways to use it is actually keeping it in the fridge and applying it after a shower in the summer, since it feels especially soothing when it is cold. Looking at the ingredient list, it is a fairly classic body lotion base built around mineral oil and emollients like glyceryl stearate, stearic acid, and dimethicone, which help lock in moisture and create that smooth skin feel. It also includes hydrolyzed collagen and hydrolyzed elastin, which sound impressive on the label, but in practice they mostly function as surface conditioning ingredients. They can help with softness and texture, but they do not meaningfully rebuild collagen or elastin in the skin. The real moisturizing work is still being done by the occlusive and emollient base. There is also a small amount of safflower seed oil for added nourishment, along with fragrance components that are pretty typical for a scented lotion. Overall it feels like a straightforward, reliable moisturizer that focuses more on hydration and barrier support than trendy skincare claims, and that is probably part of why it has stayed consistent over the years. I LOVE this moisturizer! Its like giving my skin a glass of water. It is very hydrating workout feeling greasy or too thick. My skin looks nice and glowing after using it. I like to mix a bronzer in it too, or it's easy to apply your make up on after 5-10 minutes. You also get so much for such a great price! The scent is pleasant, not over-powering or "perfumey" like other brands. This is just all around a great overall moisturizer.

I can't tell you how many face moisturizers I've used over the years. Lots. I still come across half full bottles in the closest or bathroom from three or four years ago, products that were too greasy, too thick, too irritating, too smelly, too watery, too expensive for such poor results. Ugg. But I do love St. Ives. I love their body lotions, hand lotions and masks, so when I came across this face moisturizing I was so excited. I searched for it in stores for a couple of weeks, and came away really disappointed. It seems like the only place you can buy this now is on the internet, and I'm thrilled that Amazon had such good prices. I spent around eight bucks for my 10 ounce jar, and a month into the use of it morning and night, I've barely made a dent! I'll be thirty this year, so I am taking preventative steps in my skin care routine now. Baby laugh lines, deep thinking lines and smile wrinkles are all visible (though my boyfriend says I'm the only one noticing at this point!). I am not ready to commit to heavy duty anti-wrinkle products yet, but I did want a product I could use daily that would give my skin a boast. This is that product! This moisturizer soaks in quickly. It has a light, floral scent (smells like other products that have safflower in it) and is white in color, with a smooth, solid-ish consistency. A lot goes a long way, and usually I just use some of what is on the lid of the jar, left there from jostling the jar around. I use it all over my face, neck and decolletage. I am careful to avoid my eye area though! This product is really, really NOT eye friendly, and that is the only drawback. The product warns to avoid the eye area, and that's no joke. I do use a separate moisturizer for my eyes anyway, and I usually apply that first so I have a good idea of where to put the face cream afterwards. A little warm water or witch hazel can calm any eye contact though. After a month I am really content with this moisturizer. It does not make my skin overly oily, it does not irritate my skin -- though it does bother my eyes if I get it in or near them -- and it soaks in fast, so I don't have to delay putting on make in the morning, or laying down on my pillow at night. While I haven't seen over the top, super results as far as my little wrinkles go, I do know my skin is consistently moisturized, more even in tone, softer and yes -- a little bit firmer. I also love that I can layer other things on top (like a primer, sunscreen or powder) without my skin getting clogged and gross. Over all I am really pleased with this product, and it is now a staple in my skin care routine. I'll definitely be buying this when I run out...in about four or five months! Genuinely the best moisturizer I've used/tried in a very long time. Super easy to use. It's not oily, not heavy, cooling, and it actually FEELS refreshing when applied. It absorbs nicely and I don't notice any particular fragrance after application. I sometimes struggle with acne, as well, and this moisturizer has seemed to help with my breakouts. My skin remains very clear with use.

I love this facial cream. This is my fourth purchase. I refrigerate mine. I love the feel on my face. It's moisturizing and it has a pretty light fragrance to it. I just like how my skin feels and it's super affordable. It's somewhere in the $5.00 to $7.00 price range. I have combination skin and have never broken out. I recommend this cream.

I got this thinking it was just going to be a regular moisturizer for my face but every time I use it , it adds this gloss over my face , in a good way . It makes my face feel soft .

This is now my favorite neck-chest and face moisturizer! It has a pleasant neutral fragrance, wipes on easily and isn't oily. A little seems to go a long way and the price is reasonable given these benefits. I apply it a little after a different product that contains Retinol. The combo noticeably diminished the appearance of neck wrinkles in just one and two weeks.

Arrivata anche un giorno prima rispetto a quello indicato, l'ho provata subito e devo dire che l'odore mi piace tantissimo, molto fresco ed estivo. Per quanto riguarda la qualità per ora è presto da recensire per bene, però posso dire che la uso io che ho una pelle abbastanza secca e me la idrata molto bene, la usa anche mia figlia che ha una pelle molto grassa e comunque non le si lucida subito il viso come con altre creme. si asssorbe subito ed ha una consistenza leggera quasi gel. Comunque SUPER CONSIGLIATA

I’ve been using this product for 12 years since i was 22 The formula has never changed, the packaging is the same It’s also very affordable and comes in a large size, It leaves the skin feeling incredibly soft and silky, especially on the face. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good moisturizer. I personally use it alongside CeraVe moisturizing cream I’ve ordered Phyto hair supplements along with COSRX Advanced Snail 96 and I’m really excited to try them together for hair and skin improvement😌
