Si vos ouvrants sont assez épais, vous pouvez même poser le plus petit élément sur la tranche. La détection se fait de face ou à 90°, avec une distance max de 2 cm.Côté réactivité, ces petits bijoux sont plus rapides que l'éclair ⚡. Ouverture, fermeture, tout est détecté en un clin d'œil. Fiabilité 100%, pas de faux positifs ni de ratés. C'est du solide !Maintenant, parlons autonomie. Les piles d'origine semblent s'épuiser assez rapidement, avec une baisse de 10 % en moins d'un mois. Bien que cela puisse être un problème avec les piles fournies, il est possible que d'autres modèles sur le marché offrent une meilleure autonomie. Pensez donc à prévoir des piles de qualité lors du prochain changement.Pour l'intégration, c'est un sans-faute. Je les ai branchés sur mon setup de pro : passerelle Zigbee 3 Sonoff, Raspberry Pi 3B, et Home Assistant. Ça fonctionne comme sur des roulettes !Les possibilités d'automatisation sont infinies. Aqara doesn't sell a security system, so this is a pure contact sensor: it reports open or closed and notifies you on status change, based on whatever alert settings you configure.Ease of use: setup is simple with one exception. Don't pull the battery-isolating tab and try to pair right away. Pull it, wait about a minute, then start pairing on the hub. Skipping that wait is what caused mine to need a couple of extra attempts before the doorbell recognized them. Once past that, adding them to HomeKit and building automations around them was straightforward.Battery life: too early to say. Two weeks isn't enough runtime to speak to this honestly, so I'm leaving it out rather than guess.They're small enough to disappear on a door frame, and the adhesive holds well enough that repositioning one lifted a thin layer of paint. My apartment's frame has decades of paint on it, so that's more about the frame than the sensor, but the adhesive is genuinely strong.I'd previously used Ring's contact sensors as part of a full Ring security system. The difference is scope: Ring's sensors are one piece of a monitored alarm setup with a siren option. These Aqara sensors don't do any of that: no monitoring plan, no alarm, just the open or closed signal feeding into HomeKit. If you want a sensor to build your own automations around, this does that well. They are so fast to respond and so small. Being this small you can put them almost anywhere, not just on doors and windows.Yes they are a bit pricey but for how small they are and responsive, makes it worth it, on sale.
