I don't use this for pancakes and such, but I could definitely see this would be perfect for it, but I use it for pouring balms! Pouring balms into tins can be messy. Now, I can line up all the tins, fill the container, and it becomes so quick and easy. While the mixture is very hot, a little does seep out after I've done a couple of refills, but I just hold it over a tin when I'm filling the container. It's held up really well so far, and I've used it for approximately 10+ gallons of hot herbal oil/wax mixtures.

Well made. Leaks very little with thicker batter. I wish it were a little larger though. Have to keep refilling for large servings. Would buy again

I want to like this thing. I really do. I bought a more expensive metal option because I don’t want to buy more plastic products.. But, it leaks... Unless I make the pancake batter so thick is can barely make it out with the valve completely open.. then, what’s the point? On top of that, there are two welded pieces of metal around the valve that make it very difficult to clean (even with a brush). It drips a lot.. so, you’ll need to clean it. It functions on the idea that a silicone gasket will keep a seal over the metal “door” that slides over the opening. Think of an upside down pancake syrup dispenser. It’s just not tight enough to actually work as needed. After using this thing once.. And spending most of my time cleaning up after it.. I went back to just mixing my batter in a large measuring cup and using that to pour my cakes. Again, I really want to like this thing. But, it just doesn’t do the job.

So after using a ppastic version of this from blackstone which broke twice and one time sticking so badly I decided to get the new and improved version. Apparently so,e were complaining it leaked. The first thing i did was test it with water, no leaks. I think the made the seal tighter. I was ready to return this as well due to the fact it was sticking as well when I pulled on the trigger. A friend of mine say spray it with wd-40 which of course i’d never do. So i had an idea and smeared a little olive oil around the hole where the batter comes out and sure enough no more sticking. The unit is solidly built unlike the cheap plastic versions and it worked like a charm.

I absolutely love this product! I have always been interested in a product like this, but I never wanted to try a plastic product, once I found a metal one I snatched it up! It's very easy to use, did not leak at all. Now it's easier for me to make pancakes. A quick tip, I use butter at the bottom so the batter won't stick to it and the clean up will also be easier. I have also tried it for cupcakes, and it definitely made everything easier before I wouldn't evenly fill the cups and now they are all perfect. I can't reccomend this product enough! I highly reccomend it.

We love the size of the dispenser and it was super easy to use. Only concern is that the dispenser does not fully close and it leaked natter all over the counter. We had to put a plate under it. We were so bummed, because the point was to have less mess.

I have always wanted one of these but have been skeptical on if they really work, how durable? Is it cheaply made? The answers are YES! they work amazing! Durability it awesome! And not cheaply made at all! I've always been terrible at making the same size pancakes I counted the seconds I held the handle in and now I can make them the same size!! Will be purchasing more for Christmas gifts!! Love love love it!!

I like the dispenser. It does what it's supposed to do without drips if the batter isn't too thin. I haven't tried crepes, yet, out of fear that it would be too thin and then drip — both because of leakage and because it wouldn't shut off fast enough when released. I like the weight, even though I expected heavier gauge steel. Thicker batters, such as for fruit muffins don't seem to work well for me.
