Definitely worth the money! He is cute and super soft especially his paws are soft. I love Paddington and I would definitely recommend buying this. If you are a parent please get your kid this for Christmas or a birthday.(Coming from a 12 year old)

My next door neighbor's granddaughter loves it and she loves the books that I bought her for that.

I wanted to get my daughter a Paddington stuffed animal for her birthday because she loves the stories so much. I purchased two from Amazon (including this listing) and decided whichever one was the better choice of the two, we would keep, and the other, we would just take back. This Paddington was by far the best! He was only 6 bucks more than the other listing yet, he is significantly bigger in size, his face has more personality, he sits up on his own (I had to prop the other one up in the photo) and he has the extra feature of a sown on marmalade sandwich. Also, he is super cuddly. The other inferior Paddington arrived in cheap plastic and was stuffed into an envelope (not a box). I didn't remove the other Paddington from his plastic encasing because the item wasn't Prime so I wasn't sure if they would return it without the plastic wrap. My daughter loved her Paddington present. Of course, she did notice that Paddington was missing his Wellington boots, but she's preschool age so they would probably only stay on the stuffed animal for a few minutes if this was an included item, so that wasn't a big deal for me. All to say, I never write reviews but I felt like I had to in this case because this is the best Paddington I've seen and one of my daughter's favorite presents. I will mention that the listing showed the coat, marmalade sandwich, and felt hat as detachable, but they're not. They're sown onto the bear. I mention this because I personally really didn't want the items to be detachable since he would just end up as a naked bear with a preschooler as his caretaker, thus, not even resembling Paddington. So I'm super happy to report that his personal items are sown on to his body.

Many kids in this generation may not know Paddington Bear aside from the movie here in the United States. While the movie is great and I know my child really enjoyed watching it I do feel introducing your kids to the classic book that introduced the character to the world is probably the best way to go. That being said my kid saw the movie first, and now he has the Blu-ray and watches that many times as well. The character is engrained in his head in a very positive way. It's only natural getting a good doll would be the next step. And honestly this is the best one available if you want one that resembles the movie character. Other "movie" Paddington dolls are pretty small. Too small to really measure up to your standard stuffed animal. This one may not be a big stuffed animal, but at 12" he measures right up with my son's Build-A-Bear and other stuffed toys easily. It's a pretty decent build too. The fur is soft and feels nice. The coat and hat have the right feel as well (no wood buttons as it's all just sewn details). The marmalade sandwich is a nice touch that I thought was a bit much, however my son loves "feeding" Paddington with it so all the better. The tag around Paddington's neck is a nice touch as well, with writing on both the front and back. The is not laminated and will crease or break if your kid takes it around everywhere. However you can take the tag off easy enough, even without having to cut the string. The coat also looks like you can remove it if you wish. The hat seems to be sewn on four points; keeping it secure on his head. Best of all he looks a lot like Paddington from the movies. The one thing that bugs me is the hat. The brim tends to ride up instead of down like I remember seeing in the books and film. To make the whole ensemble look right you have to push that hat brim down constantly. I suppose having the wooden buttons on his coat would have really made this doll complete, however I understand toy makers have to keep things under budget. Paddington Bear is one of those classic characters that deserve to remain in the psyche of future generations much like Snoopy or Winnie the Pooh. While there are dolls that cover the limitations I mentioned they tend to be a good deal more expensive, and don't have the same look from the movie as this one does. If you are looking for a Paddington movie doll go ahead and spend the extra money and get this one instead of the 9" doll. It's well worth it for your kid.

Absolutely love this bear. He is so cute and cuddly...I love that he has his marmalade sandwich in his hand and a lovely expression on his face. They did a great job adapting the movie bear into this teddy bear. Love it! Bought it for my niece , but will have to buy one for me too.

Liked it’s authenticity . Would have been nice if the brown bag had also been included
