No, you need to buythat separately. Uk company alpkit doing one for £59.99 . No experiance of it but it looks good. I run a shutter precision pd8 (£80)and pd8x(£140) on my bikes with the cycle 2 charge

Is this compatible with threaded (older bikes) headsets, or is there a version that is?

Hi Jim. I've just done some investigating & you can buy converter to change from a threaded quill stem to a threadless stem, just search "quill stem converter". Here's an example https://www.amazon.co.uk/ZOOM-adaptor-Converter-choice-convert/dp/B00FV3G2IK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1483967024&sr=8-1&keywords=quill+stem+converter,  you will need to replace both the steerer and fork stems but should be able to do this for under Â£20.00. Still a big saving on the alternatives to the Charge2Charge. You may also need a longer bolt, I got mine from a local hardware specialist for under Â£1.00. HTH

Is the supernova plug iii worth the extra £80 versus the cycle2charge v2?

Hello, my own situation is that unless you are consistently cycling at 12mph these devices are not a relaible way of keeping phones/nav devices charged. No longer use mine. Cheaper and more convieneint to carry a small nurse battery. Hope that helps

How easy is this to connect to the hub dynamo? And once fitted do i need anything else or is this all i need to charge a phone

It's a doddle. I'm using a shimano Dynamo and the 2 pin connector just clips on. I managed to get a super-clean installation by running the wire through the fork and out through a drainage hole about an inch from the skewer. I'd recommend passing a gear cable retrograde to pull the wire through because it's pretty flimsy. Other than that, whip your olf top cap off and replace with the unit using the longer bolt.

I've yet to fully test it out, I'm only planning to charge battery packs rather than charge accessories directly. But on a quick spin up the road it seemed to power up a cheapo supermarket usb chargeable light. So fingers crossed.
