Happy hedgehogs
These suet pellets are part of a mix of food for the hedgehogs that visit my garden. I hide the feed container away in a specially built hedgehog box but it seems the blackbirds have discovered how to get in there. Great quality at a brilliant price, the wildlife are very happy as am I ☺️

The birds love it
Excellent food to keep my beautiful blackbirds and robins well fed over winter. I use this food in a special blackbird feeding unit that keeps out the pigeons and magpies. The food is so good that it attracts up to 12 blackbirds to my garden every day. The air is full of beautiful song as a result. It would be devoured by pigeons and magpies if I didn't use a protective feeder. I use the food from November to the start of March, to keep the adult birds well fed. I then swap to well soaked dried worms for the adults to feed their chicks until the end of May, when I let the birds fend for themselves until the start of November. That way, the blackbirds feed off any snails and small slugs so that I only need to keep control of large slugs in my garden. This and the glorious birdsong is full repayment for the cost of the food which, in bulk is at least 40% less than buying the same feed from a local shop.

This food must work somewhere but it's the first refusal for any suet product so far for me
Firstly, the delivery was good and it was well packaged, I think including a plastic bag inside the box which others don't do. The pellets seemed well formed and except the normal amount of 'powder' you would expect, all looked good. I like to transition the birds between foods, so mixed the limited remainder of the last suet into this and put it out for the birds. I have a part suet, peanut, sunflower and meal worm mix I make up, which usually goes pretty quickly with nothing left on the ground at the end of the day. However, with the new suet, the bird visit dropped dramatically and they picked around the Beaks pellets, leaving them behind and on the floor. The picture included is actually since I've managed to get the much lower cost 12.6kg pellets from one of the out of town stores so it now a smaller proportion of the Beaks pellets but by the end its mainly the uneaten Beaks left. A friend questioned whether there was a reason for the birds to avoid them, however the pigeons and magpies will eat them but only after any other leftovers. The Squirrels don't seem to like them. Maybe just my birds (who also don't lower themselves to fat balls either, must be suet!!), however I'm very much wishing I hadn't bought these as it will take a while to flush these through but the pigeons and magpies will be happy, but I wasn't planning to spend money feeding them! I've since read reviews that the pellets are harder than others, which I would agree, but they are not that hard, and with recent rain, they softened up but still no takers, and unfortunately my grass is now much messier with the yellowy leftovers.

The birds seem to like it
First of all, the delivery on this was rediculous. From what I can tell from the labels on the packaging they made the box as soon as I ordered and overnight shipped it my motorcycle courier. I have never had someone deliver a giant box of fresh suet to me at 9am before this, but I'd recommend it. Secondly, this is a lot of suet. I know it says 12KG but it really is a surprisingly large amount. I bought this for feeding the crows in the park and they absolutely love it. They fight each other over suet pellets. My other birdseed is ignored over suet. I have had crows come up to me and wait patiently until I give them suet. I have no idea about suet grades, but I assume this one is high on the list by how they react to it. If I ever manage to find the bottom of this box I'll be reordering, but my pathetic scoop doesn't seem to make any change in the overall level when I dig it out. (I hope I can use it all before it goes off)

Seit Jahren sehr zufrieden damit.
