The item doesn't have acrylic paint pans as shown in the photos. The palette is wood only, which means it can't be used with watercolour paint. The wood looks nice and magnets work well.

Well made, magnets work better than expected. Nice design. Easy to handle while traveling. (I have the small 8 grid) The resin (or whatever it is they added for the paint spaces) is pretty slick. Makes cleaning easy and protects the wood. I’d love it to be a bit slimmer, but it’s still a great little tool.

Very cute, has a strong chemical-y smell when I first opened it, but just leaving it out of the box eventually makes the smell dissipate. Magnets seems strong and holds out. The mixing area beads up the paint a little too much, but I imagine that it will get better with use.

I absolutely LOVE this micro palette! It’s so tiny, my friends at first thought it was a wooden pillbox. Boy were they surprised when I set it up! It felt like I was performing a magic trick. So far, my palette has been on several hiking trips with me, it has been in a kayak trip, and I also have taken it on just random trips to the store or wherever and paired with my tiny sketchbook it is a wonderful way to destress and make some impromptu art on the go. For my watercolor paints I have my three primaries, Davey’s and Paynes grey, ochre and violet. These meet and exceed my color palette. The mixing well is nicely sized and I love that it has a smooth surface where I can mix my colors and when done wipe clean with no stress or scrubbing. So far it has not stained either which is awesome! The magnets are strong and hold the palette together well. I simply love this palette and its versatility, I recommend this to any artist who loves a bit of novelty and adventure.

Very tiny! Will be interesting to see how this works bc it is so small I’m hoping the paint doesn’t dry out
