Rectangular Pedal

It's only an hour old at this point in time. So far so good. The usual wrestle to get it out of the packing boxes. The item came well wrapped and fully intact. It's actually quite heavy, especially when compared the cheap sensor bin we had until this arrived. Inside the lid you'll find a full plastic liner which you wrap your bin bags around the top of, no retaining ring or anything, it's just a simple thing. The liner is fully removable, so is easier to clean. There are vent holes a few inches from the bottom which make it easier to put back into place and being off the bottom means any small leaks won't end up all over your floor. In operation, the lid is smooth to open and the soft close mechanism works very nicely. It's all internal to the frame and the lid really does open without the usual annoying extra space requirement of normal pedal bins, you really can put it up against a wall or such without worries. It's quite stable on the floor and does not do the ridiculous dance around the kitchen of normal pedal bins. Even empty, it's staying put. Registering via a bar code was quite simple to be honest and they do have a UK website now. Registering gave me 20% off some more bin liner bags. Speaking of which, a pack of 10 was included with the new bin. This was better than I imagined, I thought perhaps only 3 might come. The bin bags seems good quality compared to the cheapo things I've been using up until now. They don't seem very easy to tear with any sharp corners.

fantastic bin! *ADVANTAGES* 1) Excellent size 2) Stylish - looks amazing in the kitchen 3) the rectangular size rather than a standard circular bins means it's easier to fit in places and doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. 4) no need for the more expensive simple human liners, the standard ones fit fine. 5) self-closing lid is perfect, closes very slowly and smoothly, so you never need to get your hands dirty by touching the outside. 6) it is has a fingerprint-proof brushed stailnless steel finish, meaning it leaves no finger marks. 7) easy to clean DISADVANTAGES 1) Slightly pricey but a worthwhile investment. This is a totally utilitarian product that, however, also looks great, particularly in kitchens with stainless steel features. The self closing lid, which closes satisfyingly slowly, means that you never have to handle the the outside. However, even if you do handle it the fingerprint-proof brushed stailnless steel finish means that no evidence is left behind - a Godsend if you have sticky little members of your household with sticky little fingers! The bin's shape also means that if you want to site it in a relatively narrow gap it is possible as it fits almost right up to the wall. The only potential downside is the cost of the bags. The bin comes with 5 when new but replacing these is a bit of a pain. However, I fit any white liners and secure them to the inner black plastic bin with a large elastic band - so problem solved!

It's only a kitchen pedal bin but as pedal bins go this one is fantastic! It has a wide rectangular opening so I can dump stuff straight off the chopping board; it has a lever that allows the lid to stay open if there are several things to throw out; the bin looks good and is rectangular so no bumps and round bits to bang against the wall. The best part is the lid - it opens within the width of the bin opening so it doesn't go back and hit the wall, and it closes slowly on its own and completely silently - amazing. AND there is a 10 year guarantee so it's a no-brainer. Although the bin is quite expensive I feel the 10 year guarantee justifies the expense.

Pedal bin as it described. Used for four years and it's really good, beautiful outlook and user friendly.

Looks very good and does the job. Only reason for one star off is the lid looks a bit light on the build. But very good and smooth closing action

Review update: 30/06/2023, still have this and still works like a charm. Have had no issues with this since we bought it. 12/11/2018 Well worth the money, quiet and opens and closes with ease. Easy to clean and well built, quality materials and is a lot cheaper than some bins out there. Looks decent in the kitchen to. Can lock open when cleaning out which is handy and tuck keft over bin bag through hole in plastic part of bin, handy.

I never leave reviews, but this bin is an answer to prayer. I was hesitant about spending so much on a bin!!!!, however after having spent so much on cheaper bins in the £20 - 30 price bracket for the last 17 years i went for the plunge. I am so glad i did, as the bin is just so perfect, i love that you can leave the lid open if you need to, i love how the design of the bin means that the bin bag inside is not on display. I also love how there is no need to lift the inner bucket completely out of the bin. I could go on!!!!! This bin looks gorgeous in my new kitchen also, so an added bonus. Oh one more love, i love love the soft closure on the bin, so even when you have walked away, if your quick enough you can still pop something in there if you need to. oh and theres the 10 year warranty. -PERFECT

This pedal bin has a chrome finish and is easy to operate. The internal bin can be repositioned to enable easy removal and replacement of the waste sack, Great buy.

Excelente producto, tiene el tamaño ideal, guarda bien los olores, se ve muy bien en la cocina. Su sistema de apertura con pedal es muy cómodo y su cierre es muy suave por lo que no produce ruido.

I have been suffering for many years with a too small garbage can from that Swedish store. It was too small for any bags I could find, it walked around the floor when you step on the pedal, got dents and marks, the bag showed outside the can, and my biggest annoyance is it banged up and down hitting the wall. I ran across this beauty, took me a bit to talk myself into the price, but when it went down $10 I jumped at it. Save and watch for price drops. :) I read the measurements but it was shock to see how big it is, but actually it is the right size for those too big bags I have been using. Very nice quality and design, nice bags but expensive. The thing I like the most is it can go right up against the wall and does not bang. Hopefully it is more dent and finger print resistant than the cheap ones. As the old Rolls Royce slogan goes, long after the price is forgotten, the quality remains. The longer I have it the more I like it. A lifetime of frustration with garbage bags is history, these bags are perfect. The one thing I would change is I would add a tab so the top could be also be lifted by hand.

La papelera la tenemos unos 3 meses y va perfecta. Ventajas: -Buenos materiales -pedal fuerte y suave -Recipiente interior de plástico extraíble para su limpieza o colocación de bolsa. Desventajas: -Bolsas originales muy caras y no tan buenas, nos dieron 10 con la papelera y la primera se desgarro al sacarla. Adjunto dos fotos con las medidas de las bolsa original desplegada 71cm x 54,5 cm. Sabiendo las medidas, no es difícil conseguir bolsas que acoplen bien. Nosotros gastamos unas de Consum de 35 litros de color azul que van bien.

superó mis expectativas. muy buen producto con una gran capacidad y se ve muy bien en la cocina.

No conocía esta marca de cubos de basura y estaba buscando algo de calidad en este sector, la compra fue a ciegas pero estoy super contenta , el precio es algo mayor a lo que encuentras en la calle pero la calidad lo merece, estaba ya cansada de comprar cubos y que se estropeasen al segundo. la entrega y todo ha sido como acordado.
