Are the tubes tapered or can the butts/shafts be insert joint-sides up? Are the tubes hard plastic, felt, or foam lined?

Yes the tubes for the sticks are tapered, and they are a hard plastic. They are not foam lined

Will this case hold a 31 inch shaft

No, it will not hold a 31 inch shaft. My shaft is 30 inches and there is probably only about a quarter-inch of space beyond it.

Can the divider insert be removed?

The resin form is not intended, nor recommended, to be removed from the cue case as it is attached.

The description is 2 butts and 2 shafts- The photo is 2 butts and 4 shafts- Which is correct?

The case I received marked 2 butts 2 shafts was for 2 butts and 2 shafts. I believe the picture showing 2 butts and 4 shafts is for a different case.
