Huazu Altus Rear Derailleur for RD-M310 7/8 Speed for Mountain Bike Direct Mount

Exact fit for my REI gravel bike 8 speed Shimano Altus Derailleur. There is no chrome on this one, but otherwise it is indistinguishable from the original. It says Shimano. I appreciated that the cage could be opened to allow the chain to be inserted without opening a link. It went on with only a very small adjustment for the small sprocket overtravel. There is no documentation, so if you're inexperienced with this repair be sure to take a picture or two of the original installation before beginning. You'll need a decent set of metric Allen wrenches. It's easiest to set up if you set the shifter to the 4th gear and then place the chain on the 4th sprocket before tightening the cable clamp on the Derailleur. For the price this is a fine solution for a casual use bike.

I like this kind of Shimano. I couple it with the proper altus shifter. 7 or 8 speed has worked really well for me on my e-bikes. I will accommodate a some of the larger real gears. It I have used it to achieve a very high torque at the hub using a mid-drive type motor. It climbs super good. I normal range of 12 or 11 is working fine too. Shimano cassette or freewheel is the best matchup.

The screws that come with this to tighten and hold the wires were of low grade soft metal as were several others... the heads of the screws were striped with little and very careful tightening with the proper sized tools. Low grade metal. The Birdseye type pulleys were nothing special at all either.. no bearings just sleeve type. I would not purchase this again. I may send it back due to them saving a penny on low grade metal components. UPDATE 1.5 MONTHS after purchase: THE BODY OF THIS SNAPPED see photo. Confirming my thoughts above that this was Sub-Standard eye candy.

Perfect replacement for my old 4200 mile worn out derailleur.

Bought to replace the same exact one that came on my ebike. These arent the most durable derailleurs, but cheap enough to replace when they do fail or break. Can last tens of thousands of miles, or just a few

this shifter has a smaller profile than the one I had on my trike, I also cut the mounting lug off and moved if forward on the frame, to give more contact, chain to sproket, itis also a litthe stiffer than the last one that kept bending on me. also haven't had any chain skipping, have over half the sproket seating with the chain. so far have almost a hundred miles peddled, and no issues. this shifter also shifts smother than the last piece of "junk" that I bought to replace the factory shifter,, which broke after 900 miles.headed for 3000 miles by the end of the year, at 73 years I need my exercise, 500 miles to go th reach my goal for the year, started riding the trike after my heart problem, been riding since april 2023.

Es un producto reacondicionado y de mala calidad apenas lo coloque se salieron los pasadores de seguro del tornillo de anclaje con la patilla de la bicicleta, tampoco tiene nada de lubricación ennlos resortes como los productos de fabrica. no recomiendo este producto.
