Gorilla All Purpose Wood Filler Wood Repair Kit with Putty Knife and Sanding Block

Had a friends dog over that decided to chew some trim on the edge of one of my doors. I debated replacing the trim or repairing, ultimately deciding to try and repair first. I bought this for the project. I cleaned up the area by removing all loose material. When I first started adding this product, I was disappointed. It wasn't as "sticky" as I hoped and it seemed dry as others have mentioned. I ended up applying more than I needed, expected to sand it down later. After applied I was worried it wasn't going to stick and all chip out as soon as I started sanding. I gave it overnight. The next day I was very surprised and impressed. This is as close to "real" wood as I have seen. Some magic happened during the drying process. It was very had and adhered extremely well. I was able to both sand and sort of sculpt / chisel / scrap to match the shape of the original trim. I ended up adding some additional material and it bonded much better to the original dried layer of it's own material. I'm handy but no pro and felt this was perfect for the job. Just painted my first coat over it and it seems to be exactly what I needed. The repair is unnoticeable unless you get very close. I can imagine it's only easier / better for small jobs and patching smaller holes.

My dog decided to scratch up the wall and trim, leaving me to have to purchase this. Comes in a nice, resealable jar and is easy to work with. You can opt to use the included tool or if you’re like me, just use your hands. I do wish the color was white to match the wall, but I just got some white paint instead. Nice, texture and consistency that isn’t too thick or too thin. It also cleans up easily and dries quickly. I’m shocked at how well it got the wall and trim looking as good as new.

This is a well-priced wood patching product. I noted from the other comments that several people received their wood filler product in a dried out and sandy condition. They frequently sent the product back. I also received the product in this drier condition, but I really needed to use it that same weekend to repair hardwood floors. So I took about 1/2 cup of warm water, and I carefully mixed it into the dried out wood product. This completely restored the wood filler, which then worked very well for repairing the holes in the original wood floors. It's easy to mold into place, allow to dry, and then can be sanded and stained. It has since become a little bit dry from time to time, but I always just reconstitute it with some water. For other customers who have this problem, I recommend reconstituting the product, instead of returning it, for less hassle overall.

It worked out great for what I needed! I had some furniture that were cracked and it was super easy to fix them. You just need to be careful because once the product is out of its container, it dry really fast. Use just enough to fix what you need, make sure to put the lid back on!

Dog chewed decorative corner of Furniture. I was able to apply this product and reshape. It accepted stain very well. be sure to leave plenty of time for product to cure/harden before trying to sand. i suggest buying your own sanding pads because the one provided is more for finishing. also an razor blade or exacto knife can help with shaping as well. it wont be like new...but it will be close enough.

This is the replacement I received that was obviously a return and opened. I’m assuming it was returned because it was DRIED OUT just like the first one I received which is why I ordered this replacement for it hoping it wouldn’t also be dry. It’s clearly taped shut on one part since it was already opened and missing the tab on the container. Just so crazy the first one I ordered was a brick and this one is not as dry but still too dry to work with and clearly a return!!! Obviously it was returned for a reason so why send it back out?!

This product is very easy to use. It’s soft enough that it’s easy to spread.

Opened product the day after it was delivered with the anticipation of using the wood putty on an antique piece of furniture. It was DRIED OUT and wouldn't even stay on the putty knife that came with the set. Just came out in clumps. Finally added enough water to it to reluctantly use, instead of throwing it away.
