I bought this cable to connect my iPhone 13 Pro Max to my Hidiz S9 Pro dac/amp dongle. This cable set up with this dongle really works great. I usually use my KZ ZAX with okscs upgraded headphone cable with a 2.5mm balanced connection. Really excellent sound with a lot of detail and decent soundstage. This set up also does not impact any of the frequencies as they all sound very well represented with tight lows but still able to bring the thunder, mids that are clear and detailed with good imaging and sense of space and highs very clear without being harsh or fatiguing. The GU Craftsman OTG cable makes solid connections at both ends and looks and feels sturdy and made of quality materials. I have been using this for some months now without issue. I would recommend this if you are in the market for something like this to connect your iPhone or iPad with a lightning connector.

Works perfectly with my Iphone 13 Pro Max and Qudelix. I didn’t have any of the issues with loose connections that some other reviewers mentioned, fits snug and i usually have the qudelix dangling from the phone from a car mount vertically and seems secure. Has enough length to bend it back if you mount the dac behind your phone without causing stress on the connectors. YMMV. Its expensive for what it is, but considering the alternative of using a camera kit this is worth it in my book. Something to note, when I checked the battery in the Qudelix app, it was actually drawing power from my phone and wasn’t using its battery which personally was preferable for me. Didn’t need to disable charging either, works out the box. If you’re on the fence about which otg cable to buy for this specific use case, I’d pull the trigger and avoid any future headaches with the cheaper options on here.

I am a audiophile. Have been over 20 years. I've spent a considerable amount of money on this hobby. I've even purchased cables from this company. They cost more money than usual but of nice Quality and sound nice But....... This is usb c to lighting OTG cable is honestly, a joke! Doesn't work at all. Absolutely no sound. I won't buy anything from GU craftsman again. I feel they used their reputation for cables to dupe people into spending money on this OTG cable which obviously has issues and produces no sound at all. Warning!!!! Do not buy from this company.

This is a gorgeous & amazing sounding cable that works intermittently with the FiiO inline DACs. If you replace the oversized cable shells with smaller ones, it works better, though not as well as the stock FiiO Lightning to USB-C audio cable. Note that FiiO’s own “high end” cable also has issues. Keep in mind you are dealing with OTG handshaking and not just power!

Cable feels great and is flexible, but started to have connection issues with iPhone devices. When I first got the cable it would connect with portable DAC/Amps first try with no issues. After some time it became more difficult to get the connection recognized, which lead to unplugging and replugging in constantly to get connected. Now I can not get the cable to establish a connection at all. I am not sure if is an issue with iPhone devices, but is a bit disappointing considering the price of this cable.

It seemed like a great cable for my DACs, but after a few months, the USB C connector became so loose that it actually fell out of the dongle. I have a second, newer one that still fits properly, so I’m extremely cautious with it. For this price, I’d expect it to last longer than others I have. Update: After this review, GUCraftsman contacted me, offered a full refund, and asked for a second chance. I agreed, received a refund, and re-purchased the OTC cable. I am always impressed with companies that stand by their products with 100 percent good customer service. This is such a company! The new cable is great!

I purchased a couple of these cables for Dac amp/iPhone connectivity. They both worked fine for a few months & then shorted out. Not as durable as the Fiio usb c to lighting audio cables that I also purchased on Amazon .

Cable was well packaged, and appears to be good quality. So far has worked perfectly.

worked the first few day and then when it was connected all I could hear was a constant beep

Worked as well as expected for about a month then just stopped working, seems quite delicate, plastic seems cheap, but works just as expected untill it stopped, might be a user issue I might just have broke it but I’ve not been rough with it so either it’s delicate or crap, 4/5 if it didn’t break 3/5 because it did.

Immediately this item was not fit to be used, I attempted to put the lightning connector into lightning port on my IPhone the sleeve over the cable moved forward and the lightning connector slipped back into the sleeve rather than the port, as I’ve said, that was as far as I got, it’s returned .

Advertised as ios (iphone) and qudelix 5k compatible, but my iphone 13 pro does not recognise the qudelix after plugging in. Either it is bad quality control for sending a faulty cable, or it is false advertising. Waste of money and will be returning the product.
