Ultra Grey

My husband picked up this Permatex 82194 Ultra Grey Rigid High-Torque RTV Silicone Gasket Maker for some repair projects. It does exactly what it’s supposed to — forms a strong, durable seal. What works well: • Stays flexible enough to handle vibration and temperature changes but cures rigid. • Good for making custom gaskets on oil pans, valve covers, water pumps, and similar automotive/equipment parts. • Easy to apply from the tube and cleans up nicely before it sets. • Trusted Permatex quality at a fair price for the 3 oz tube. He’s used Permatex products for years and this one performed as expected. Solid choice if you need a high-performance silicone gasket maker for mechanical repairs.

Worked great

I was a bit surprised to receive such a heavily damaged item, but since the product in the tube wasn’t damaged, I didn’t worry too much about it. This product is quick curing and has a very low odor. It’s easy to apply and creates a long-lasting, waterproof seal. The price is very reasonable for such a quality product.

Used Ultra Gray gasket maker on a job that was “definitely not that bad” and somehow leaking from everywhere. Slapped this stuff on, bolted it together, and now it’s tighter than my budget after buying tools I didn’t need. It sticks, it seals, and it doesn’t care how confident you were before you realized the gasket was toast. Oil stays in. Coolant stays where it belongs. No drips, no excuses. If you enjoy products that quietly make you look like you know what you’re doing, Ultra Gray is the hero you didn’t know you needed. Five stars.

The perfect RTV for most import applications or for when Motorcraft TA29 isn't readily available.

Maybe I am too optimistic about old cars, but my 2008 Civic kept sweating a little oil and I am on a renter budget, so I tried this instead of paying a shop. The tube is easy to control and the silicone goes on nice and smooth. I used it on the valve cover and around a small timing cover spot. Let it cure overnight before driving and it has stayed dry for a few weeks now, even with my highway commute. What annoyed me is how fast the tip starts to clog. I twisted the cap on tight and still had to poke through dried stuff the next weekend. It works well, just plan to use a good chunk of the tube in one go.

Great RTV sealant for 2006 Corolla. Used in timing chain area—the split between the timing block and the engine block—when replacing engine gasket to prevent oil leaks. Car runs better than new! Quantity is more than enough for several vehicles. Water and oil resistant. Let it dry and the adhesion will last a lifetime. Thick but liquid for flow.

Grate

Lo he usado en mi moto, funciono perfectamente

Very good product !!!

Used on a Toyota Yaris as similar to Toyota oem. Worked very well on timing chain cover and sump. It’s at a good price point, created a great seal when used to recommended bead size torque on a challenging sump pan ( the one with 2 bolts inside bell housing)

Permatex håller hög kvalitet och är lättjobbad. Rekomenderas

普通に使えました。
