The World of Eric Carle (Tm) 1, 2, 3, to The Zoo Flash Cards (Illustrated Animal Counting Flashcards for Infant & Toddlers, Introduction to Numbers Flash Cards)

These have been dropped, dragged, thrown and have survived spilled water and well, a toddler! I bought them when my son was 2 and my now 3 year old son lines them up like a train (in order) on the floor and is learning to count and his numbers simply by playing. We have the book so he was already familiar with them. His favorite part, after the train is built, is to have me search for the little mouse hiding with the animals.

It has numbers 1-10 and then a set of flash cards of animals usually found at a zoo. Each of the animal flash cards has a little mouse that is in a different location each time. We have her count the animals on the cards as well since they are not the same. The number cards show the numerical number on one side and then the number spelled out on the other for when they get older. Comes in a heavy duty box as well.

Fun pictures, very colorful, the kids really enjoy them.

Over all this is a very good flash cards set. My son loves animals and also trains, so these cards are great with both. It is my fault, but I did not know that the cards are large in size. Probably great for younger kids but I thought they would be in typical flash cards size to take on a next car trip.... so I wish I checked the size before ordering it.

These cards offer 2 different ways to count- The first ten cards show you an image of an animal and their name on the back, as the cards continue, so do the amount of animals in the picture. You count the animals, pointing to them for the child looking. The last ten cards are traditional in they show an animal or animals and then have the corresponding number on the back. Our son really enjoys looking at these.

The children for whom I purchased this loved it. They enjoy going to the zoo and enjoy all kinds of animals, so they are particularly delighted to play with these.

These are lovely, nice quality card. I was so pleased with these I've ordered the alphabet set I just hope they are as good a quality.
