Good standard tin pallete. The pans fit securely within the slots and the cover snaps shut tightly. Two decent sized mixing areas. It makes for a nice travel kit. What I do is attach some Velcro to the bottom and fix it to a surface to keep my hands free. It does have a little thumb ring underneath if you want to hold it, instead. I use some high grit wet/dry sand paper to gently polish the surface of the mixing areas so that the paint doesn’t ball up into little droplets. Makes mixing easier. There’s something on the surface of these budget paint tins that affects the watercolor paint, imo. As long as you gently sand/polish the surface, to create some texture, you’ll be good to go. You can purchase some extra pans, if need be, and fit then in the slot in the center. Overall, nice tin palette for the price

Lots of good features: right size, lies flat when open, closes tightly, has a good number of pans for paint, the pans are large enough, the decoration on the cover is pleasant to see, etc.

I did wait to do my review after receiving my replacement item. The first one that shipped ended up having a defective in part of the pallet. Customer service was really cool and sent a replacement which was not defective. There are more pods in there then described (I got the 48 pod one but there was a fee more than that). It holds the watercolors very nicely and they don't leak and bleed together which was a big plus for me. The container even allows me to store a paper color template for referencing color shades. Its great because the watercolors in the pods don't leak on it. I do reccomend if you are filling the pallet for the first time (or refilling), that you leave it laying open so the pallet can "breathe" and the watercolors dry properly in there. During daily use. I can just close the pallet right after use and they dry perfectly fine. I also like the fact that it has to fold out tin pallets with indentations in them so I can use it for the different colors I use. The only downside is the paint will stain the tin if left on there for continued use. I didnt have a problem with it effecting the other colors when I used new colors on top of it. I used a wipe to clean it off. Since they are connected to the pallet. It can't just be run under water as it would compromise the watercolors pods. The tin come with a nice ring on the bottom side of it in case you're looking yo hold it stationary in your hand. I personally don't use it but it's nice to have. The overall container clasps shut very nicely and hsd a sturdy closure which is great for travel. These are really great space saves for throwing in an art bag. I always look for great products that travel nicely because I do bring them with me to an art studio I attend. Its alot more convenient that carrying around a bunch of tunes. I will say the watercolor pods are smaller with the one I got but thankfully with watercolors. A little goes a long way. Anywho, I really reccomend this product

I am buying specific paints in tubes to curate my own palette for a class that I am taking. This metal paint palette holds a large range of colors. The half pans pop out easily if you would rather fill them that way, or if you purchase colors already in a half pan, then you just pop them in. The inside cover folds to protect the paints, but when folded out, it becomes a mixing palette; the inner top cover, when opened, allows for four separate mixing areas. I am looking forward to organizing my paints and getting this nice palette filled. Very handy and very reasonably priced. Good quality.

Good quality tin palette with multiple mixing areas. The 3rd tray can easily be removed if you don't want such a large footprint, particularly if you tend to hold the palette while painting. There is a thumb ring on the back to secure your hold. There are 24 half pans, each can be individually removed and inserted. The entire tray with the pans can also be removed and replaced for convenience while making changes to your paints or exchanging pans. You could also use the central area for mixing, if desperate. Solid product. Will work very well for a number of planned palettes. After seeing this in person, I will be purchasing additional sets. I paid $13.99. ~9" x 3", 1" deep.

The product arrived very quickly, even earlier than expected. It’s a nice palette. Love how the center pops out for more mixing space. The only problem with it is the lid doesn’t stay closed very well ,bit risky to travel with it.
