Perfect replacement for my Murray circuit breakers. They work flawlessly and I upgraded 2 of these breakers (4 total) from AFCI to dual feature in about 10 minutes -- and given that I'm not an electrician, this was pretty easy. I tested both with the test button and an AFCI/GFCI testing tool on the receptacles and it was great. They are about the same size, so easily fit in the breaker box. It's only been about 30 hours since installing, but the breaker hasn't tripped, so I'm very happy. Note: It's important for safety: If you are installing these in a subpanel, make sure that your ground wires and your neutral wires do not go to the same bar in the panel -- it's very dangerous! Grounds go to one, neutrals (pigtails) go to the other!

These are OEM original new equipment and work as designed. Not sure how Amazon can offer them at half the cost of my husband's suppliers but I'm glad he decided to check. Looks like Amazon has a distributor status with Siemens though so he'll be checking everything on here now.

Depending on where you live, the inspector can be very strict on what types of outlets that must be installed on remodel work. I had several outlets that the inspector said needed AFCI protection and because they were within 6 feet of a sink also needed GFCI protection. He recommended using an AFCI breaker then adding tamper proof GFCI outlets. This setup can get expensive real quick. Fortunately I found these dual purpose breakers that provide both AFCI and GFCI protection on the entire circuit making installation easier and cheaper than the inspectors recommendation. I have installed several of these and have had no nuisance tripping issues so far. I did not install one on the fridge circuit as I've heard too many horror stories of unnoticed tripping and the food going bad. No problems on the microwave, computers and their UPS back ups, vacuum, or anything I have plugged in so far. The one issue I had was no fault of the breaker. It requires the neutral of the circuit to be screwed into the breaker itself. On two circuits the neutral was too short and couldn't reach the breaker and I did not wish to rearrange the breakers to get them closer. I found "Spliceline Orange (20pcs)" by Ideal here on Amazon that solved the issue. Simply strip about half an inch on the neutral extension wire and push into the connector. They are UL listed for use inside panels and electrical boxes. If I find anything that does trip these breakers, I will update my review.
