This mic is a winner for singing
AT Pro8Hex hypercardioid pattern is fantastic at noise reduction. The headband is comfortable and the goose neck stays where you put it. Lastly, the output signal is stronger than many I have tried so I can keep the mixer gain low and never get into "hiss" range. I use it for singing while playing acoustic guitar. It has great sound clarity but I do have to add a little bottom in processing for singing due to the frequency response curve. To be fair, I have only found one pro head mic that didn't need some added bottom for singing but the output was much lower so the AT Pro8Hex easily wins that comparison. Because it is Dynamic XLR I can use this mic straight into the board or through a wireless body pack with an adapter that includes a bias blocking capacitor.

Just what I was looking for.
I wanted a wired headset mic and this is about the only one I could find. And the price is reasonable. I had to send the first one back due to a problem but the company/seller was very responsive and took care of it right way. The new one has worked perfectly ever since, a few months now. It allows me to play the keyboard and sing without having to have a mic in front of my face. I love it. The quality of the sound is good. I use a mixer to beef up the tones a little and voila, I have a headset mic that sounds great in any situation. For me, sitting next to the mixer board during performance, it's easy to plug it straight into the board because the chord that comes with it is well long enough, around 10'. Speaking of the wire, I do wish it were thicker, more industrial strength so that it will last for many years. I feel that it has to be handled delicately and carefully and I'll be worried about this coming apart or developing a problem at some point. For now, it's great!

A good mic, very sensitive, comfortabe to wear, and easy to store and transport!
For general use, this is a nice microphone, It fits well, without being overly snug (some headworns can be painfully tight!) and the XLR cable is a few feet long, so its easy to route it where I need it. My primary use for this mic is with a transmitter, along with a Bose S1Pro+ speaker. The transmitter connect directly to the to the XLR out, with a solid and secure connection. Sound is excellent, with a balanced frequency response, and no static or other electrical noise. My one issue with the mic is that there is a lot of handling noise. Any movement of the cable while using it produces sound- and although I can reduce it using a noise gate in my effects loop, I’d rather have a slightly quieter mic. Otherwise it works as it should. Its compact and light and can easily fit in my gigbag. Positionng is pretty flexible - from close in for quiet work to a few inches away when I need to belt a song.

Great Sound
Excellent sound, works with amps even if they don't have phantom power. Volume isn't extremely high but very clear and loud enough.

Drummer who's tried them all.
As a drummer, I've tried about 4 different headset mics over the last 15 years, and sent them all back after one test because no matter claims, the snare was not being rejected enough and it was hard for sound tech to mix because of this...but NOT this one! This mic rejects the snare enough to make mixing a live band with a drummer who sings, doable. Let me say though, this is not the best sounding mic in the world. There's not many lows, and it's fairly middy. That's okay though because it's backing vocals and a bunch of lows are not necessary for the mission. It's under a hunderd bucks, man, just buy it!

Amazon sucks
Microphone works fine but Amazon lies constantly on delivery all the time. I ordered this cause my mike went down and I needed it for a show I was going to do and of course they promised something that they can't deliver on

Decent for the money.
It's a decent microphone. You get what you pay for. I use this for miking a live speaker (person) on a stage. You need to make sure you keep the mic a minimum distance from the mouth, otherwise you get popped p's and it picks up breathing. It is pretty much a requirement to use the windscreens, which are large and unsightly. The actual quality of the recorded sound is quite decent, perhaps a little hollow. The unit fits awkwardly on the head, and is difficult to get comfortable. Keep in mind also that this is the wired XLR version, so you'll have a leash, limiting your movement. For stationary speakers, this is not problematic. Issues aside, you're not going to find a better mic for the money, but you may want to purchase a more expensive model for musical applications.

Formidable!
