PROS • 8GB 2133 for the same price as ddr3 1600! • Micron chips! • Cheap as f*#$! • Not for overclocking, but not really a pro or con at this price and performance. CONS • It is green Don't pay for fancy ram with heat sinks it doesn't need. I have yet to see my ram go over 30c, doing anything. If you are buying for gaming, web-surfing, content creation or business than this is the ram for you!

I wanted to add another 8GB RAM to my system on top of the original 8GB because I was consistently using 95% or more of physical memory. The new memory card arrived in only 3 days, even though it was scheduled to arrive in 2 weeks. The memory card was very well packaged, almost overkill - the DIMM card shipped in a clear rigid plastic case, which in turn was placed inside a sealed bubble envelope, and then the bubble envelope was itself sealed inside a small sturdy cardboard box. The new DIMM installed very easily, and passed several memory tests (I ran the memtest86 suite to give it a thorough workout). I also ran performance benchmarks before and after installation, and the added RAM increased my system performance, probably due to interleaving of memory card access. I actually ordered a slightly slower DIMM to match my existing RAM, but they shipped me the next higher speed DIMM. But it works fine, as the faster new DIMM just runs slower to match the speed of my older existing memory.

If you're on a budget and only want to use up one of your RAM slots to leave room for an upgrade later, this is a great choice. I build computers for people with all kinds of budgets. When I am asked to build a computer on a dime while still future proofing it, this is what I always turn to.

Buying 8GB in two separate purchases was cheaper than the 16GB package due to a sale. There's always risk of the two sticks not playing well with each other, but so far I've seen no issues. This is ugly RAM, but it's RAM and it works. Good stuff.

Rocket fast DDR4 Ram, the pricing recently leaped up another $20 however its still well worth ramping up the RAM on any Xeon CPU until you reach at least 24-32 GB. Worked fine in my new T-30 Dell server matched with a factory Dell 8 GB ram stick and I ordered another 8 GB of the same manufacturer Crucial Technology, the same Ram stick for my workstation with plans to purchase two more next month.

Speed of machine has greatly improved (went from 12 to 16 GB). I must, as thought, have been borderline with Premiere Pro at 12 GB. Easy installation although, as every device has its own quirks, you will want to review steps to replace or increase RAM from the owners manual. Update your BIOS prior to installation to minimize issues recognizing the new/increased memory.

I wasn't sure if it was my motherboard or the ram but i had some serious difficulty putting it in the slot. Even with brute force it wouldn't go in and almost cracked my mobo, i seriously thought i bought the wrong ram. After awhile i i figured it out and it went smoothly. I just had to put it in one side first and then the other side.

Works as a RAM should haha But be aware that if you have a different RAM stick (this one and another different one) it may not work! It's the same with all RAM sticks! Fortunately, mine was compatible with the other one I had. Also, I recommend you buy 2 of these to get 16GB and feel the power!

Summary This could possibly be the best DDR4 RAM stick available in terms of price to performance. This is achieved as the RAM stick is bare; there are no fancy logos, just a green rectangle. This is perfect for those who want fast RAM, and lots of it, in a non-windowed case. If your side panel is not windowed, then there is no need to spend the extra £5-£15 just to get a nice design or LED's on your RAM. Performance The Crucial 8GB DDR4 RAM runs at 2133MHZ. You can easily cheap out on RAM, but that will result in programs loading up a little slower once already in the background. 2133 MHz is the stock frequency for DDR4; so there are higher variants, however, at that point you are really just throwing your money away. The transfer speed is at around 8GB/s, so plenty of programs will be in the background, and your PC will still run smooth. Although, what I haven't tested is the difference between DDR3 and DDR4 memory. However, despite that, if you want to get your hands on DDR4 memory which is an 8GB stick, then this is the cheapest you're going to find it at the moment. The memory is nice and fast at 2133 MHz, and will multitask your computer like nobody's business. However, the plain sticks themselves may be a bit outputting to enthusiasts who want everything to look nice and match with their build. Companies add heat sinks to RAM to dissipate heat, but much research has shown not much heat is created off the RAM, otherwise it would have a fan, wouldn't it? Heat sinks are now added more for aesthetics more than anything. Aside from that, I have no other criticisms.

Avevo già un banco ram della stessa tipologia di questa. Avevo il timore, avendo comprato questo dopo mesi dall'acquisto della prima, che fosseleggermente diversa come componenti interni e che non mi riconoscesse il dual channel. In realtà comunica alla grande con la sorella gemella e il dual channel è attivo. Molto contento.
