Why do I need voice control for a router?

You don't. Actually the only voice control is to restart the router -.- It's not very useful AT ALL!

The DIR-L1900 is manufactured in Taiwan. The DIR-LX1870 is currently manufactured in China.

Can i create a mesh network with another dap-1955 extender???

You can create a mesh network with another DIR-L1900. Unfortunately, the DAP-1955 is not mesh sync compatible with the DIR-L1900.
