The Best Liquid Grip
I have tried 4 different versions/brands of liquid grip and this is my favorite and go-to. The liquid is thick, dries quickly, doesn't have a strong smell and will definitely last through my workout without having to reapply. I cycle between body building and power lifting and I don't use gloves. Using this liquid helps me get a great grip, but it also helps to prevent excess sliding on the knurled bars that can cause blisters during/after the workouts. I've tried gloves for back day, versus using this liquid grip, and it's not even close, this works really well and is definitely my preference. There are some days where my hands may be swollen/sore from a super heavy lift the day (or 2 days) before, and I'll just put a little of this on my hands to eliminate the extra sliding and help me get a high quality lift on what could be a subpar workout day.

WHAT SORCERY IS THIS?! IT'S GRIP MAGIC!!!
The very first time I used this, it made me an instant believer! I wholeheartedly give this a 10/10, or 5 stars in this case! I’ve been using regular chalk for YEEEAARS, and don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with chalk. However, as I mentioned in my video review, it gets dusty, leaves residue everywhere, and I have to reapply it EVERY SINGLE TIME I do a set. My hands sweat a lot, and when sweat mixes with chalk, it turns into a paste. It worked for me for a long time, so I’m not knocking chalk at all. HOWEVER… whatever this liquid grip magic potion, sorcery, or wizardry is, it’s absolute MAGIC!!! ONE application. ONE tiny drop. That’s all it took to last through my entire 1 hour and 40 minute weightlifting session. I put this stuff through absolute HELL and gave it every opportunity to disappoint me, but it never did. Dumbbells, towels, cable handles, lifting straps, supersets, drop sets… you name it, I threw everything at it. What completely blew my mind was that even at the very end of my workout, while setting down the dumbbells after my last set, my hands were STILL sticking to the handles! I’ll say it again. That was from ONE tiny application. At this rate, I honestly think this bottle will last me at least a year. On top of that, it left absolutely no residue on any of my equipment like regular chalk does, which is a huge bonus. And one more thing… I honestly have no idea what people are talking about when they complain about the smell. There’s no odor that I noticed whatsoever, and I have an extremely sensitive sense of smell. So I’ll leave you with this. It’s inexpensive enough that it’s absolutely worth giving a shot. I was extremely skeptical after reading the reviews, but seeing the 4.7-star rating convinced me to try it. I’m so glad I did. Without question, this gets a 10/10 from me. All day long!

Highly Recommend for Weightlifting
Amazing. A small amount of this stuff on your hands, rub it around for 2 seconds then let dry - it's like you're wearing wrist straps! I bought this after someone let me use some while I was deadlifting at a local gym. Effectiveness: 5/5 - It just works. It isn't magic, but it will definitely allow you to lift a lot more weight if you have issues with grip. Price: 4.5/5 - It isn't free, but I think it's definitely worth it's price. The refill bottle will last a lonnnngg time. Wash-ability: 5/5 - Stays on hands for a handful of heavy sets, even when sweaty, then washes off easily with just water. Wish I could be a sales rep for this product as it practically sells itself once you use it!

UPDATED review---2 years later.STILL LOVE IT-don't use anything else now
Update:After about 2 years of using this product, we're still purchasing it and using it regularly! We've tried a few other liquid chalks since and always return to this one. The only comparable chalk we've found is that of real chalk, but this is without the mess and it doesn't transfer to equipment. We've had a couple of the 1.5oz bottles stolen off our stuff which is always a bummer, but both husband and I rate this a solid 5/5 product... OG Review: I bought this to surprise my husband as he travels for work a lot and was warned at the temporary powerlifting gym he was attending for using regular chalk. I had mentioned this product a couple months prior after cleaning out the regular chalk that had exploded in his gym bag while traveling, and he was against it saying it'll never grip enough for the weight he's working with. He's a heavy-weight lifter so chalk makes a drastic difference. So, after being warned he tried a few workouts bare-handed and came out of those pretty frustrated. He finally got angry enough with the lack of intensity his now chalk-less workouts gave him to finally try this stuff....and was a a converted believer after the first use. Unless you use too much it dries on clear so really no one will know you're using "chalk" to begin with, and the small bottle came with a nice little clip for his gym bag so it's pretty discreet. The only downside is it does have a girly, almost lavender- smell to it but dissipates relatively quickly. A little dollop will go a long way, and on our lon

For someone that feels like I sweat through chalk so fast I'm reapplying every time I let go of the bar at my cross fit classes, it has been awesome to have! It was recommended to me by another athlete and works great, I'm glad I tried it! In regards to the slight smell I have heard others refer to, it is there but it's light and not very noticeable. I feel its only noticeable at first when its drying. I'll defiantly be continuing to use this product!

A must-have for the considerate weightlifter
An adherent of the 'Starting Strength' protocol, I'd long relied on chalk (in its traditional solid form—a "block'a chalk", as it were) to enhance my grip on various barbell lifts—in particular those originating from the floor—until recently when I transferred to a gym that expressly forbids the use of chalk (incidentally a position with which I entirely sympathize, having frequently suffered the self-inflicted, very literal blowback of getting dust in my ocular, olfactory and oral orifices after chalking up the bar). Liquid Grip has proven itself a more than adequate substitution: with but a nickel-sized application, I can maintain a long-lasting, tenacious grip without leaving behind messy chalk residue on the bar, the floor, or my clothing—to say nothing of airborne, inflammatory dust particles—all while respecting the wishes of management and being courteous to my fellow patrons to boot. The Combo Pack is an even better value, on both a financial and practical level: not only is it less expensive per ounce than buying the standalone 8 oz bottle, but the refillable 1.5 oz bottle with attached rappel ring makes it especially portable and convenient without taking up space in your gym bag, that is unless you happen to prefer carrying around both bottles; "gainz are gainz", however they may accrue…

Good grip
I use this at my gym due to them not allowing chalk. I put a quarter size amout in my hand and rub them together. It takes 2-3 minutes to dry. It doesn't transfer to the bars or clothing. The quarter size amout gets me through my workouts. Deadlifts to bench press consisting of roughly 10 sets.

This stuff is great
Applies easy and stays put. Some chalk residue will transfer to on the bar on the first lift after application, but after that, there really isn't any transfer. Takes about 30 seconds of waving your hands around to dry completely. Grip is noticeably better with use. One note, if you touch anything wet, this stuff comes off immediately - and it's supposed to, it washes right off when you're done lifting. But if you touch a towel, a water bottle, your shirt, face, anything wet, you will lose the chalk. I'd bet all the money in my wallet that the vast majority of reviews saying they have to "reapply because of sweaty hands" are reapplying because they have touched their wet shirt or a damp towel or something. I have put this stuff on and done 4 super sets of wide grip pull-ups and single arm dumbbell press and my hands look like I just put it on. If I am careful with my towel use, I can get through a six exercise (~1hr 15min) workout with only one application.
