Wow! Where has this sunscreen been all my life? It's absolutely perfect for me. I have very reactive skin, prone to eczema when irritated, and cannot tolerate many sunscreens because of either the fragrance that inexplicably is added to most cosmetic products (despite fragrance being the commonest allergen and irritant, it is STILL added to many products advertised as suitable for 'sensitive skin'), or the drying high alcohol content in the more cosmetically elegant, high-end formulations. I also have rosacea, and have been advised strongly by multiple dermatologists that wearing a daily facial sunscreen is non-negotiable. I also wish to avoid the leathery, lined, age-spotted skin that comes with tanning and general sun exposure over the years and thus have spent years experimenting with various types of sun protection. Often in vain, due to the endless poor formulations on the market. Altruist sunscreen is almost a miracle product for me. It provides good protection from UVA and UVB rays, is cosmetically quite elegant and leaves neither chalky nor greasy residue on the skin and thus wears beautifully under make-up, and is actually non-fragranced and thus doesn't upset my skin, even the fragile facial skin. You get the faintest 'sunscreen' smell if you put your nose to your skin, but that's it. It's neither too thick nor too runny and sinks in easily, preventing irritation from endless rubbing of the skin. I can use it all over, even on the most sensitive areas prone to rashes and patches of eczema - decolletage, face and neck. It's also pleasingly cheap, especially compared to high end products. I paid £8.00 for two big 200ml tubes - even compared to the cheaper end of the sunscreen market this is an excellent deal. I'd recommend this to anyone who has problems with otherwise decent sunscreens due to fragrance and alcohol content. I will be using this product lavishly and buying more in the future.

Love this product. I’m a redhead that will get a tan if I keep it slow and safe but will burn terribly if I don’t. Over the years I’ve used everything. This hits the spot every time. Easy to apply, does the job no fuss. Ultrasun is great but if it gets in your eyes by accident it will sting like hell. Plus I cannot be doing with the drama of having to apply it and walking about in the nude for 15 mins before getting ready to hit the sun. Also as the day progresses I get nervous that it’s still working. Plus the get versions turn your swimsuits a funny colou and they sting children who suffer with eczema. Altruist is easy to top up with none of the other problems. The value for money is unbelievable. We all need to protect our skin in the sun and it cracks me up that two bottles of suntan lotion can cost somewhere between £24 -£40. This dermatologist decided to make a product we could all afford that was just as good. But it, try it you wont be disappointed and with two bottles for roughly £8.00 you have nothing to loose. I’ve written three reviews in my life but was so impressed I thought I’d do this one.

Great light weight sunscreen . I was expecting 2 100ml - wanted 100 so can go through airport security . However great value and quality

I tried both the SPF50 and 30 creams. I like the fact this has no smell, applies well and is fairly cheap (provided you want to order >= £20 worth of goods from Amazon). I agree that sunscreen needs to be something you are happy applying abundantly in terms of cosmetic elegance and price, and this largely ticks the boxes. It doesn't feel sticky and in my experience seems to be non-comedogenic. Both strengths leave a slight white cast on my olive skin tone, but I can tolerate this. The only issue for me (and because I take reasonable care to apply it at what I believe to be about 2mg/cm3 of skin) is that it can run and cause my eyes to sting especially on days when I am re-applying it frequently. I sometimes end up having to clean my eye area to stop the stinging and find myself skimping on forehead application due to this problem. I have normal skin (not oily skin) for the record.

This is the best suncream. Been using for years. Non greasy and feels like a normal cream on skin. Great for eczema and doesn’t aggravate it. Always repurchase from Amazon as good value.

I’ve purchased this Alruist SPF30 many times as it hands down the best sunscreen I’ve ever used. Sinks in lovely leaving no stickiness and leaves my skin feeling unbelievably soft. I also use the SPF50 hyaluronic moisturiser as a my daily skincare/primer.

I purchased this product after being recommended it by a dermatologist to help with my PMLE rash that happened when I go on sun holidays .. I’ve had this rash every single time I’ve went on holidays since I was a child, I used this suncream in Thailand on holiday and for the first time ever I did not get a rash from the sun .. it’s completely changed my holiday experience and the fact it’s so cheap and doesn’t leave a white cast, non-greasy, doesn’t stain clothes are all just added bonuses.
