Bought the 3-pack and gave one to my teen daughter and her friend; solid use of the set. Tested it before handing them out and this thing is genuinely loud. No question it would get attention. What I like most is the dual activation: you can press the button or pull it apart. Smart design; it's not so sensitive that you're setting it off by accident in a backpack, but not so stiff that it would be a problem in an actual emergency. That balance really matters to me. Rechargeable and comes with a strobe LED too. Great value for a 3-pack. Highly recommend for anyone with kids or teens who need a little extra layer of safety.

I would have liked a louder alarm, but I chose this alarm over one with 140 decibels and less expensive alarms with the 130 decibles because the battery was rechargeable, the flashlight is larger, and it has two options for setting off the alarm making it more useful. I prefer the button because I can set off the alarm with one hand. Hopefully I can also swiftly pull down on it with force with one hand to pull the pin out when it is hanging off my purse, rather than having to use two hands to pull it out. I plan to test the hard tug option. Finally, I like that the pin stays attached to the main unit when pulled out so my hands are freed up in an emergency. I have had no issue with accidentally setting off the alarm, although I hang it on my purse or belt loop on a walk, I don't put it in my purse or pocket. I utimately went back and bought one for my sister who is moving from a small Colorado town to the city in California and my daughter-in-law who often walks my grandbaby alone on popular trails and up in the mountains with my son where they might come upon aggressive wildlife. Now my sister is going to buy one for her daughter who is in on a college campus. I should have taken advantage of the mulitple discount, but I wanted to see if I liked it before purchasing for my family. A personal alarm is a tool for empowerment to be prepared, not fearful. I recommend it.

The noise level is pretty loud which is good, and I like that it’s smaller than some other similar products (about the size of a lighter). I gave it 4 stars because the mechanism will sound when you pull the chain but also if you click the button. I feel like it’s likely that something in my purse bumping up against the button will set it off and cause a scene. I do feel safer carrying this around especially because my job is downtown at night.

Perfect I gave one to all the women in my family. They’re loud they have a flashlight easily attached to purse or belt loop. And I love that you can plug them into recharge.

Ok product but was missing one of the alarms

If these don't deter a would-be attacker, then he/she must be deaf! This thing is extremely loud and annoying when in use. Yes, we had to test it out, of course! I gave one to my father and my two children for a trip abroad.

Oh it’s loud. But this thing has cursed me. Make sure you remember how to turn it off is all I can say. It arrives in the mail and you test it out once. Great! You put it on your keys and forget about it. Then one day you’re in a hospital parking lot and accidentally hit it and it starts going off. And you can’t remember how to turn it off. After frantically trying to turn it off for about 30 seconds you get it to shut up. You’re mortified the whole day but move on with your life. But don’t worry, it gets worse. Another year goes by after that incident. You’re at church this time. Pastor asks everyone to stand and so you do. You don’t carry a purse so you grab your keys to put them in your pocket and as you do that you accidentally pull on them and the alarm starts going off. In the middle of the service. And it gets EVEN better!!!!! You don’t remember how to turn it off!!!!! As you frantically panic trying to turn it off you have to have an innocent volunteer help you in the lobby. Hopefully I never get attacked and that me screaming will be enough as a call for help as I’m throwing this thing away and never buying anything like this every again.

Once I picked it up, couldn't help myself and activated it in my car. "Loud" is a fair description. It's good to practice switching it on/off, in case it is really needed, to confidently and without hesitation or thinking make it work for you.

I use these when walking my fur kid and it just gives that added security and peace of mind for myself. I have given the other two to family members as they walk as well. It’s not a super duper loud alarm but it would do the trick to draw some attention if needed. I like that it has the button feature and the pull out feature on the key ring area to set the alarm off. They are light weight and easy to charge. Good quality and delivered on time. For the price and peace of mind I would recommend them to anyone.
