Frameless Bathroom Mirror Medicine Cabinet, 16 in x 20 in

This medicine cabinet is wonderful: looks nice, relatively easy to install, well constructed and very functional. My wife likes the look of the cabinet. She particularly likes the two-door design. With both doors open she is able see the back of her head while brushing and combing her hair. The side mirrors reflect the light from the light fixtures making the room brighter. I'm not sure if I like the mirror on the inside behind the shelves. But that doesn't really matter. I did a surface installation which was simple and straightforward. The instructions were easy to understand. Mounting the cabinet required only common hand tools: a level, pencil, measuring tape, drill, screwdriver and wall anchors (not provided). Some cautions: I did use a stud finder to be sure there were no pipes or wiring where I was drilling into the wall; and to locate the studs to mount the lower cabinet bracket. Be VERY careful when you place the side mirrors on the cabinet. I installed one of the side mirrors slightly out of alignment. I had not yet put any pressure on it to firmly attach it. But the glue was so strong I was unable to move it to get the precise alignment I wanted. Make sure the mirror is exactly where you want it to be before placing it on the glue pads. I also removed the doors to reduce the weight of the unit during installation. Reinstalling them was quick and easy. And the hinges are well designed for realigning the doors. The adjustable shelves allow the user to arrange the distances between each shelf to suit whatever needs to be stored in the cabinet. And as I mentioned above, the mirrors on the inside the doors allow you to view the back of your head for grooming. In short, we love this cabinet and consider it a great value. But I want to address some of the complaints other reviewers (not many) have left. Some mentioned damaged cabinets, broken mirrors and/or missing parts. I found the cabinet to be extremely well packaged and nothing was missing. A few reviewers cited the mirrors falling off the cabinet so I checked to see if they were securely attached. I didn't do chin-ups on the mirrors but they seemed very well secured. I cannot imagine the mirrors detaching from the cabinet. One person mentioned the shelf brackets were too small and would not allow the shelves to slide into place. Another wrote the predrilled holes for the shelf brackets were not correctly aligned. I found them spot on and the shelves slid into place with very slight pressure. Considering the small amount of one-star ratings when compared to the four and five-star ratings, I think anyone can be confident they are ordering a quality product with good value.

This is my long-term review of the Kohler medicine cabinet after using it for about two years. I purchased it in 2024 during my bathroom renovation, mainly because it matched the rest of my bathroom fixtures and complemented my existing design perfectly. The first thing that impressed me was the packaging. The cabinet arrived extremely well protected, which is important for a product that contains so much glass. Everything arrived in perfect condition without any damage. One of my favorite features is the edge-to-edge mirrored door. It gives the cabinet a clean, modern appearance and makes the bathroom feel more open compared to cabinets with thick surrounding frames. The cabinet itself is on the smaller side, but that is exactly what I expected based on the dimensions. It is designed to hold everyday essentials such as medications, toothbrushes, skincare products, and other daily necessities rather than serve as large storage. For that purpose, I think the size is ideal. The build quality has been outstanding. After nearly two years of regular use, the cabinet still feels solid, and the door opens and closes smoothly. The only minor issue I encountered was that one hinge screw loosened slightly over time. Tightening it with a screwdriver took less than a minute, and I haven't had any problems since. Another premium feature is the adjustable glass shelves. Unlike many medicine cabinets that use plastic shelves, this one uses glass throughout the interior, giving it a much more upscale appearance. The shelves are easy to reposition, allowing you to customize the storage space for taller or shorter items. Overall, I have been extremely satisfied with this medicine cabinet. It combines excellent build quality, a timeless edge-to-edge mirror design, smooth operation, and flexible storage in a compact package. Even after two years of daily use, it continues to look and function beautifully. If you're looking for a premium medicine cabinet that blends seamlessly into a modern bathroom, I would highly recommend this Kohler model.

Edit, a year later: I love everything about this medicine cabinet. At the time that we bought it I wasn't sure that we needed so many mirrors, but now I see how great the mirrored inside is. Our bathroom is really small, and somehow, when you open the cabinet and it's not just this little dead end, it just feels like more room and more open space. Plus you can see what you have better. 100% recommend!! Previous review, soon after purchasing: Very happy with our new medicine cabinet, installed during a bathroom remodel. It seems very solid and well-made. All mirrors are nice and sturdy and flat. Shelves are easy to adjust. It was easy to install. Would buy again.

I decided to add a medicine cabinet to my bathroom remodel at the last minute. I had my contractor hang this as a surface mount cabinet. It was the closest in size to fit the area I had available. I like the fact that there are mirrors on all outer and inner surfaces including narrow strips of mirror on the sides when surface mounted. The shelves are sturdy and nicely made. The product came with a bag of pegs to fill in all the unused shelf support holes. The surfaces are all easy to clean with a damp microfiber cloth. Although there is no plastic corner protector where you grasp the door to open or close the cabinet, it does not seem particularly prone to fingerprinting, and the edges are not sharp, so I don't mind at all. I was pleased that I could choose a left or right hand door opening. The door opens and closes smoothly. I like the simple clean contemporary lines of the cabinet. My husband is over a foot taller than me, and he installed the previous cabinet up so high that I could barely glimpse the top of my head if I hopped up and down. Needless to say, this cabinet was hung at a height convenient for persons breathing in various layers of the atmosphere, and the 26 inch height is a generous surface. It was slightly too tall for my space, because I did not plan well and hung my lights too low, but that is no reflection on this product. The cabinet is well made and sturdy and came very well packaged, with no damage. My only complaint is the unattractiveness of the hinge mechanism when viewed from the side as a surface mount. I have uploaded a front and side view picture so you can see it in place. I would imagine that this would not be a problem with recessed installations. Overall I am quite pleased with the purchase. In my opinion it's a great value for the price, and much nicer than most of the cabinets I found at the big box stores.

I really like this unit. It was easy to hang. You attach a bottom ledge / metal or perhaps aluminum bracket to the wall. Set the unit on this bracket ledge. Then attach 2 top metal clips. Make sure the clips and bottom ledge bracket are not just screwed into to drywall. Either use anchors or screw into a stud. The side mirror panels were a bit sketchy when I unpacked the box but once the side brackets that you screw into the unit are installed and heavy duty double sided sticky mount tape stuff is used to attach the side panels to the side mounted brackets. After a few months no sign of anything falling off. The bottom and top do not come with panels (assuming you are just wall mounting versus inserting the unit into the wall). But the lack of top and bottom panels is not noticeable. Also the bottom bracket and top brackets are hidden and not visible when looking at the unit unless of course you look under the unit. The 2 class shelves for the cabinet interior are a good thickness and have rounded edges and a greenish tint. I hung it myself, but it would be good to have a second person to hold it when you get to the part of attaching the top clips. The bottom metal ledge bracket (which is thin enough to drill through - I think it is aluminum and not steel) needed to have screw holes drilled into it. My normal power drill and regular drill bits worked fine. The bottom ledge bracket is about 11 inches long so there is some play as to where you drill screw holes and where the holes align with studs behind the drywall. A stud finder is also a handy tool to have for this project. Make sure to have a leveler to assure correct level mounting. You may need to have some different drywall screws or screws with anchors on hand to successfully wall mount this unit. A solid medicine cabinet, great wall mounting option, at a good price.

This is a first class medicine cabinet. Very sturdy, good instructions, easy to install. My wife loves the inside mirrors so she can pretty much see how her hair looks all around. Bottom mounting bracket is very good and is wide enough to be able to screw into two studs, yet not the full width so you can position it to hit the studs. Too bad they cant have the bracket with spaced holes like they do on TV mounting brackets so you don't have to drill where you need your mounting screws to go in the bracket. Also, they expect you to have two sheetrock wall mounting anchors to attach the two top corner holding brackets. Fortunately i had the drill,bit and sheetrock anchors and was able to install it in about 10-15 minutes. Also ,BE AWARE, the instructions show metal clips to be attached to the sides for the side mirrors, but, they changed it over to four solid plastic blocks (without a new instruction sheet or an additional paper telling of the change). The plastic blocks worked out fine. Buy it, you won't be disappointed. I need a smaller medicine cabinet for another bathroom that I will be remodeling in a few months and I will only be looking for one made by Kohler

I like this medicine cabinet, its large and fits nicely in our bathroom wall. The glass inside makes it feel really big. Only downside is the door is not soft close, I thought this would be soft close but its not. Still happy with this cabinet, its a nice upgrade to plain glass.

We got a great deal on this in "like new" condition, so we pulled the trigger on it. We figure for the same amount of money, better to get an open-box Kohler cabinet rather than a new no-name one. We will be installing this recessed as part of our bathroom remodel. This particular unit has some nice features that other mirror-cabinets were lacking: reflective on both sides of the mirror, and also reflective on the inside behind the shelves. The shelves are a thick glass. The beveled edge is a nice touch and the door opens smoothly. I might consider trying to reinforce the plastic frame where the hinges mount, since that seems to be a point of weakness in other reviews. Comes with plenty of hardware for different install options. Most of all: the size is perfect for our remodel. Big enough, but not too big. The 20" width is perfect for our 30" wide sink and vanity cabinet. There's plenty of room inside for various hygiene products you'd rather not have in plain view. Can't wait to install it and will update the review after the remodel to include info and pics.

Product came in a well protected box. However of some the screws don’t seem to fit. Overall happy with my purchase. Quality is good.

El material es muy bueno, tiene espejo por dento (detrás de las repisas y en la puerta) y se pudo empotrar en tablaroca sin problema. Es muy bonito, el bisel hace que se vea muy refinado. ¡Recomendado!

El artículo es muy bonito pero en la descripción para la Compra del artículo no dice que se necesita empotrar en la pared o en un bastidor y yo lo compre a ciegas.
