.Three Scales for a Full Range of Applications
The Delmhorst BD-2100 delivers accurate moisture readings, so you
can sign off on your inspection with confidence that the site is
dry. With its range of capabilities, the meter can be relied upon
in a broad array of settings, home inspections to restoration
jobs. And with three scales, the meter can be used on wood,
drywall, and a variety of other non-wood building materials.Wood
Scale for Flooring and Building Materials
The meter's wood scale gauges moisture from 6 to 40
percent--measuring from dry conditions up to the fiber saturation
point (about 24 to 30 percent). The large range means the meter
can be used in high-humidity or low-humidity environments and on
a variety of locations, such as wood studs, floor joists,
subfloors, and EIFS (Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems).
Gypsum Scale for Drywall
The meter's gypsum scale is designed for use with gypsum board,
which is also commonly known as drywall or plasterboard. Its
broad moisture range of 0.2 to 50 percent covers a variety of
gypsum types, letting you achieve ideal results on your next
construction or inspection project.
Reference Scale for Concrete, Plaster, and Insulation
The Delmhorst BD-2100's reference scale expands your
moisture-reading capabilities, allowing you to check moisture
levels in non-wood materials such as concrete, plaster, and
insulation--a particularly handy feature for restoration
projects. This scale reads from 0 to 100 on a relative basis to
accommodate a variety of non-wood materials.
Set-Point Alert Lets You Preset Moisture Conditions
One of the handiest features of the Delmhorst BD-2100 is its
set-point alert function, which allows you to preselect an MC
(moisture condition). Once the MC is reached, the set-point
alerts you with a buzzing sound, giving you the precision you
need.
Digital Readout Screen Displays Results Quickly and Accurately
This meter works quickly to display accurate results on its
clear, easy-to-read digital screen, so you can view the readings
with ease. The meter averages up to 99 accumulated readings,
giving you a big-picture view of your current job.
Pin-Type Meter with Electrode Connector Delivers Superior Results
The Delmhorst BD-2100's pin-type meter uses two pins that
penetrate wood and other building materials to a depth of 5/16
inch. Pin-type meters provide more accurate readings than surface
meters because their tips come into direct contact with the
material being measured. If you ever deal with materials that
have been exposed to surface moisture, a pin meter is the best
measurement tool because its readings are not skewed by this
factor.
Plus, the Delmhorst BD-2100 is built with a special connector for
an external electrode, such as the Delmhorst 26-ES (
/dp/B0000224D6/ ) (sold separately), which allows you to take
surface and core moisture content readings to a maximum depth of
1-1/16 inch.
The Delmhorst BD-2100 is backed by a one-year warranty.
