Works the same as the original.
I have purchased two for my Renishaw probe. I have been using it for over 2 years with no issues.

Emergency and for a short period of time.
Bought a 50mm and a 100mm, they looked good on the pictures but definitively are not at the same level as the original ones. The M4 thread is "loose" meaning that we needed to add some teflon tape to avoid the stylus "unscrewing" it self, and the the "ruby ball" became loose (we added a small drop of super glue". This is with a couple of weeks of use. After that it keeps tolerances pretty well, but the original one arrived and was replaced (we will keep this as an emergency).
