Helped my 13yr. old Westie Make a Full Recovery from Elevated Kidney Levels!!!
My 13 yr. old Westie, Wes got really sick after he was put under to get two for his tiny teeth extracted and cleaned last January. I went to a new Vet that checked out on Yelp but little did I know the vet was supposed to run blood work to make sure Wes was healthy enough for anesthesia. After the Dr. performed the procedure, picked him up and he was fine. Three days later he got really sick, was vomiting yellow bile non-stop, and refused to eat for a week. I felt so bad for him and was a wreck carrying him up and down the stairs and hand feeding him baby food. I took him back to the vet and he did some blood work. Turns out his kidney levels were through the roof when he had no signs of kidney failure prior. I freaked out and looked for anything I could to help him on Amazon. I found Health Kidney's Kidney Restore and Kidney Shield. They were both really easy to administer to Wes because one is a powder and one is an Omega-3 oil that I was able to put in a syringe to directly feed into Wes' mouth. Within a week he bounced back along with subcutaneous fluids. He was eating again and regained his strength. I believe both of these products saved his life! I have since been adding both products to Wes' daily supplements and have ordered the Restore for the second time. The bottle of Kidney Shield has lasted me for almost 6 months now. I store the Omega-3 oil in the fridge. The Kidney Restore powder has essential probiotics to support healthy Kidney function and detoxification and is overall so good for your pet's digestive health. The Kidney Shield, the omega-3 oil supports your pet's kidney function, urinary, and heart health, and has helped my dog with his itching allergy and lung inflammation.

Well-Formulated, Easy to Use, and (Best of All!) All-Natural
I’m so glad to have learned about this product! The natural fats and nutrients in this are optimized to support my pets’ health. The Omega 3 Fatty Acids are great for not just kidney health, which is the main purpose of the product, but also for heart health, healthy skin and coat, for reducing inflammation, and just boosting the immune system overall. I especially love that all of the ingredients are pharmaceutical grade and all-natural—I can give this to my pets knowing everything in it is high-quality, GMO-free, and real (bonus points because it is also made here in the USA!). One thing that surprised me was that this supplement needs to be kept in the fridge after being opened. It makes sense, but I just hadn’t thought of it! I always think of the supplements I buy at the store being in pills or capsules and going in the medicine cabinet. But the Kidney Shield supplement is made completely out of natural ingredients and is preservative free, of course it needs to go in the fridge, just like the all-natural, animal-based foods I use! And putting it there isn’t a problem at all. The bottle is a convenient size and fits easily on just about any shelf. I love that there is a screw-on cap in addition to the pump. It makes storage easy and eliminates any issues with leakage from the pump because of the high fat content. Wiping the pump nozzle off seemed to eliminate any issues with this, too, if you leave it on. I can dose either by pumping the right amount into the food or by measuring with a teaspoon. The dosage information is clearly printed right on the bottle for either dosing method. It’s so easy to use! Thanks for a great, all-natural product. Definitely recommend.

Stunk to high Heaven!
This stuff smelled so bad, and my neither of my cats would go anywhere near it! Waste of money.

Great Vitamins, Troublesome. Container.
My cat loves the flavor of this vitamin supplement to improve her kidney health. She will more readily eat food if I put a small amount of this vitamin on top of it, or mix it into her food. The problem is the bottle in which it is stored. Somehow this orange-colored oily liquid does NOT wish to stay in the bottle. I do wipe down the top of the pump that comes with it each and every time I use it, but it nonetheless leaks out of the little pump top almost 90% of the time. I can’t figure out how I might change this inconvenient and messy aspect of this product. One time I put about 3 ounces of it in a small plastic squeeze bottle of the type that holds glue for children. That helped, but then I misplaced the top of that little bottle, and now I have to use the big one again. Great product. Awful bottle containing it.

Improved super picky cat's appetite!
When my cat was diagnosed with Stage 2 kidney disease, I wanted to do everything I could to reduce strain on her kidneys. Four months ago, I purchased the Kidney Support. The biggest issue is that for years I have tried to improve my cat's diet, but ALL she would eat were Temptation treats. After buying all sorts of expensive foods, including foods recommended by the vet, I eventually gave up and turned her to an all Temptations diet. My vet understood because it was better than her not eating at all. Literally, it came down to not eating anything or eating treats only. She would go an entire day of not eating anything before I relented and gave her treats because she was only 6.5 pounds and needed something in her system. What I learned later was that cats with kidney disease are nauseous and so they often become picky and will only want to eat really tasty foods. Along with Temptation treats, my cat really loves the Hartz Squeeze Up gravy. I started to mix half a pump of the Kidney Support with the gravy. To my delight, she lapped it all up! Over time, I noticed that along with her Temptations, she also started to eat more of her prescription kidney dry food. The biggest change though has come in the past month. My cat is now eating REAL food all of the time and preferring it over the treats. I mix half a can of Salmon Friskies wet food with a packet of Fancy Feast broth and an entire squirt of the Kidney Support. She eats it all everyday! What is more, she is now starting to eat an ENTIRE can (mixed with the broth and Kidney Support) a day. My cat hasn't eaten a daily recommended meal in years! I doubt it is a coincidence that after adding Kidney Support to her diet that she has suddenly started to eat more. She still pees a lot so I know the renal failure is still there, but she has also put on half a pound. I can't stop the kidney disease, but I think the Kidney Support is helping. Her diet has definitely improved. She hardly eats treats anymore. While it costs about $3 a day for the can of food, two things of broth, and gravy - it's worth it to know she's eating again.

It seems to be well made and excellent quality
Seems well made and great quality, even like the actual pump it comes in. Now, my elderly cat and dog who NEED it will not go near the food if even 1/10th of a tsp is mixed in. Even tried rubbing on nose so they have to lick it in, and on paw for same reason, but cat threw up. She does have a sensitive tummy and would too to fish oil. I can't take fish oil but take flax seed oil omega 3 instead. Need to return this and just try the flaxseed oil on them instead. I was hopeful, and it's no fault of the actual company or oil my animals won't eat it.

DUMP THE PUMP - THIS CONTRIBUTED TO A MASSIVE DROP IN BUN, AND REDUCED PHOSPHEROUS
My dog and I were told that he had a BUN of 138 on 1/28/22 (norm was 7-25). Phospherous score was 9.8 (norm was 2.9-6.6). I initially gave him the weight-appropriate portion of Epakitin, twice daily, from 2/3/22, along with: Kidney Restore and Kidney Shield, which are all sold on Amazon. I also conducted daily healing work using Applied kinesiology and the disease chart published by Dr. Ryke Geerd Hamer (The German New Medicine) to identify and change organ dysfunction. I rechecked the blood work on 2/8/22 with a different vet, and the BUN score had dropped to 61, and the phospherous score dropped to 8.1. These are massive improvements in just 5 days. I am unsure which of these 3 elements (Epakitin, Kidney Shield/Restore, and / or the healing) helped, but they helped. Unfortunately, my dog decided to stop eating a couple of days after the blood work on 2/8, and he was sent back to heaven on 2/14 to avoid him experiencing suffering and pain from any more weight loss. The product came with a pump and a screw top lid. I tried the pump, but it was nearly impossible to see whether the pump had dispensed liquid when the spout was in my dog's mouth. This resulted in me giving my dog two pumps, and he vomited his food 30-minutes later. He most likely had too much fat at one go (this product is composed of Omega 3 fats, primarily). I then dumped the pump, and only gave Kidney Shield to him with food, or I poured a little into a small, stainless steel measuring scoop, and then poured it into his mouth after food. I don't recommend giving this product on an empty stomach without food, and start with a half portion for a day, and then increase it gradually. The Kidney Shield/Restore, and Epakitin products all have their own taste, and I tried to ensure that I didn't combine all three in one meal. E.g. I gave the Epakitin and Kidney shield in the morning, and then the Epakitin, and the Kidney Restore at night. My concerns was that too many flavors, along with the flavor of my dog's food, would put him off of eating. Visit my reviews of Epakitin and Kidney Restore for some additional information about how I used these products. I would definitely use the product again.

MY CAT HATES IT with a passion.
IT STAINS EVERYTHING IT come in contact with. They said they don’t do a pump anymore. I GOT A PUMP and it’s A MESS. A MESS !!!!!!!!!!! It smells fishy but my cat fights me tooth and nail to AVOID IT. You can’t mix it in their food, the bright orange liquid smells too strong and impossible to hide it in their food. I have no idea if my cat has improved by taking it at all. Her hunger still slowly diminishes all to often. You get NO tool to administer it to your cat. I cannot say enough DISAPPOINTING things about this BRIGHT ORANGE strong smelling liquid.
