Lightweight and Easy to Use
This is my second Shark vacuum. My first one lasted 20 years! Overall, it does a great job picking up dirt, and I like the ease of maneuverability and its ability to go over small rugs without grabbing the edges. It is lightweight, which is a nice feature for a senior adult. My last Shark was a Rotator, and it had more amenities--the features I will miss include lights in front and on the wand as well as a longer cord. (The cord length isn't too bad, just not as long as what I had.) Probably if I had bought one of the more expensive Shark vacuums, I would have had those things too, but I didn't. Anyhow, this one works fine. The suction is adjustable, which is nice for going over thick carpet. My previous vac had two carpet adjustments instead, but this works just as well. My old vacuum had a separate hard floor attachment which I rarely used, so I am glad Shark did away with that! This is more practical.

This vacuum sucks!!!
I literally threw away all of my old, tired, crappy-looking, filth-spreading brooms after buying this vacuum. It works great on carpets, area rugs, and hard floors, including my 113-year-old hardwood floors (no scratching!). It seriously makes your carpets look like they're brand new again. It is lightweight and easy to push on carpet, even on Maximum Suction power. Photos show the product fully assembled before using (omg, so shiny!!), plus the accessories it came with, then after using on my living room and one area rug in my dining room. The amount of dirt this thing picks up is disturbing, lol. I love the lift-away feature and the hose attachments for getting cracks/crevices and stairs! The filters are easy to access and clean, and replacements are reasonably priced. The upholstery tools work really well for pet hair! For reference, my husband and I both have VERY LONG hair, and we have a cat...so I have included a photo of the brush roll after vacuuming to show that it really works for long hair, too! This is the only vacuum I've ever owned that I didn't have to clean the brush roll after/during every use due to a tangled mess of hair caught in the roll. Seriously, buy this thing. You won't regret it. Just be sure to read and follow all the instructions for maintenence!

I love this vacuum for the Zero-M
I have a couple of heads with long hair in my house, and my old vacuum (also a Shark) would have a completely wrapped brush head after every room. To do a full vacuum job at my house would involve at least two periods of removing and using scissors to cut the hair out of the brush roller. Worst part of vacuuming my house *by far*. So I've been intrigued by the Zero-M Shark vacs for a while. I read lots of Amazon reviews, and the results people were having seemed to be mixed, so I was hesitant. I'm not sure why some people are having issues, but my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. From having the head completely wrapped with hair every time I vacuumed, I have since not had any hair wrapping around the brushes at all. I have seen a few time where some small amount of hair remained on the brush when I shut off the vacuum, but I have always been able to turn it back on, roll it around a bit, and they are cut and suctioned up without me touching the brush head. I'm assuming this happens when the hairs accumulate just before you turn it off, so you need to let it run a bit after you've encountered your last hair to get the brushes clean. And I can tell that I'm getting the same amount of hair, because when I empty the bin, I have lots of hair in there instead of just dust and dirt. Prior to this vac, the canister would only have dirt, and all of the hair had been removed from the brushes. No more! I'm am curious to see how long this will work this well. It seems to me that these blades may eventually dull like any cutting blade, and it may not continue to work at some point. But it's working great so far. I'd love to give this vac 5 stars, but I have to ding for one problem I have, which I see as a bit of an unforced error. The accessory tube that used for attachments is long (from memory, I'd say about 1.5-2 feet). That seemed useful at first, so I could get cobwebs in high corners, and do baseboards without bending over. But in practice, I'm finding it too long, because the attachments themselves add another foot or so. When I try to do blinds, screens, window sills, around furniture, etc, I find the length unwieldy and inconvenient. And for my house the extra length isn't really needed for ceiling edges. My old Shark had a much shorter accessory stick, and I was surprised how much I didn't care for the longer one on this vac. I would have thought this was a feature, but it really isn't working well for me. I also wish Shark would make some way to put all the attachments on the vac, but I find this as a general problem; I have the same issue with my Shop Vac, my old Shark, my old Hoover, etc. I hate having to store them separately, and it seems like whichever one I actually have on the single accessory post is never the one I need at the moment. Overall, though, a great vacuum that has cut down on my vacuuming time and effort, and I think well worth the money.

Great vacuum! So happy I bought it.
I am so glad I bought this vacuum. Thanks to the great reviews. I have gone through other vacuums and the pet hair and my own hair would get tangled on the roller and it was a nightmare to clean out each time I would vacuum. Not with this vacuum. I have used it multiple times now and the roller is clear. It picks up all my pet hair and my own hair so I can vacuum regularly without having to clean the roller every single time I vacuum. It’s easy to empty out the container. It picks up a lot of dust and hair. It does a great job. I highly recommend this vacuum. It is worth every penny

Strong suction, hard floors and carpet options
I've had this vacuum for 6 months now and so far, its good. I purchased a few cordless vacuums but ended up disappointing me. Vacuums with cords are still unbeatable when it comes to power and suction. This is the best vacuum I ever purchased. Can be used on hard floors and carpets. Hair barely gets trapped in the brushes, which is one of the most common causes of vacuum breaking or going bad. My favorite part is how strong the suction is!!! This vacuum literally sucks ALL the dust/dirt on the carpet. I maintain and clean my floors and carpet on a regular basis, but when I tried this vacuum after receiving it, I GOT A LOT MORE dust even after vacuuming with my old vacuum. I love the dust/dirt compartment. Its enough space and super easy to detach and empty. I just love this vacuum. Only thing i wish they have is an attachment so I can effectively vacuum the stairs too. But overall, I 100% recommend.

I have never had a vacuum work as effectively as this. Game changer for people with allergies. Easy to go from carpet to hardwoods. The very finest dust is trapped, with the pre and HEPA filters. Love it!

Great for picking up long human hair, which was my number one criteria for a vacuum.

I love this vacuum but I do not like it for stairs at all, maybe I am not using it right but I find really hard to use on stairs.
