I’ve had hibiscus 🌺 as a tea mixed in with other herbs. This is the first time I’ve ever drank it by itself and the first time I’ve ever had organic hibiscus. I used more than the eight ounces the bag suggested because my mug is a fair amount larger! As soon as I poured the hot water over the pouch, I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly it infused into the water. The colour was immediately a deep, vibrant red. I left the round pouch in longer than the 5-7 minutes the back of the bag suggested due to my mug’s size. My thirst has been hard to satisfy lately, but this did the trick. The tea was delicious. Refreshing. I didn’t use any type of sweetener. It was just sweet enough on its own. I had some tea left towards the bottom of my mug which I mixed with organic pineapple juice and organic orange juice. The mix tasted wonderful. Yes, the tea is organic. It carries the USDA organic certification on the front and back of the bag. It’s Non GMO Project Verified. This is also prominently shown on the front and back of the bag. The tea is naturally free of caffeine. FGO is environmentally conscious, so there’s no strings or staples in the pouches. No individually wrapped pouches in foil or paper. No dyes, adhesives, glues or chlorine bleach is used. Each pouch is made from Abacà hemp fibre paper. The organic hibiscus 🌺 is from Egypt. There’s 20 round pouches in a 1.4 ounce (40) g bag.
