I'd imagine that this thermometer is more than capable of reading the temperatures of just about any dry animal housing and if I accidentally broke it, I would definitely buy another for the fair price that Neo-Reptile Products sets! Review: Genuine Review - Genuinely Supprised - Fundamentally this unit is really good. So often you buy something and regret it immediately when it arrives. The unit is small (neat), compact a does exactly what it it says on the description.......displays temp remotely in deg C or deg F and has a reset button (not sure why as the polling rate is high .i.e. it reacts within a few seconds to change in temp) I am ridiculously picky when it comes to gadgets (i am an engineer) but this just works....buy it! (it also comes with a spare battery!) The unit stands up on its own like a picture frame or can be suckered on to glass with the "sucker thing"? The build quality is fine as I was expecting a shoddy mass produced item for a fiver. Forget trying to visualise the dimensions...its the size of a standard small matchbox to help. ps. I use it for reading the temp of my seed propagators when growing chilli plants. You can place probe under lid with a long trailing wire so see if ambient temp inside is 25C-35C for germinating. I dont have any pretend Dinosaurs in cages but I'm sure it keeps them remaining toasty too.... :-) 99.9% happy 1 minor issue; the temp is displayed continuously so i dont know how long the button battery will last but its only an LCD display pulling micro amps. (There is no off button which makes sense for a "temp monitor" I suppose). Anyhow; a giant sheet of button batteries are only a pound or so these days. Enjoy...
