This Zep Grout Cleaner and Brightener is hands down one of the most satisfying cleaning products I’ve ever used. I had grout that looked permanently stained with years of buildup that regular cleaners barely touched and this completely transformed it. You can actually see it working almost immediately. The deep cleaning formula cuts through old, set-in stains and restores the grout to a much brighter, like-new look with minimal scrubbing. I used it on both bathroom tile and kitchen floors, and the difference was night and day. Application is simple, just apply, let it sit for a few minutes, give it a light scrub, and rinse. That’s it. No complicated steps or excessive effort. A little goes a long way too, so the 32 oz bottle lasts longer than expected. This item was a surprise. I got it to clean my grout and tiles. As it dripped down it ended up removing this ugly yellow stain I’ve had in my bathtub for almost a year. I assumed it was rust stain and thought I’d just paint the tub when I update. It also removes rust stain. I used it on my sink where rust collects around the hole. It doesn’t come with a spray cap BUT I do have other zep products. I switched the caps so I can use it as a spray and it fit just fine. With it being an open hole you end up using more than you need to. If you get this I suggest just getting a spray bottle. A small amount goes a long way

Stop scrolling - this is it. This is the product you need. Do not hesitate - get it - along with a narrow bristle brush and get to cleaning. I spent YEARS being annoyed by my front foyer grout looking dingy and dirty with me on my hands and knees scrubbing or steaming it for HOURS. Between my dogs, my kids, and a regular stream of visitors going through the area, the grout just wouldn't stay clean. I had gotten to the point where I was willing to have the TILE REMOVED and spend thousands on a new floor. On a whim, I said, let me try ZEP. This is a total GAME CHANGER. I squirted this on the grout, waited about 3 minutes or so, took my bristle brush to it (a few scrubs back and forth) and wiped away with an old beach towel. Boom. Magic. Let it dry to really see the unbelievable difference. There is a slight odor that lingers for like 1/2 a day or so, but it is worth it. I used 1 and a half bottles for my large foyer. No more back breaking cleaning of grout. I can't get over how well it cleaned the grout. 100% would get again and again.

This grout cleaner works extremely well—but you need to use it carefully. It’s acid-based, and when I paired it with a grout brush and let it sit for about 10 minutes, the results were excellent. It cut through grime and restored the grout far better than anything I’ve tried before. That said, this is strong stuff. I accidentally got some on my baseboards, and it did cause damage. That was user error on my part, but it’s worth emphasizing—keep this product away from baseboards and any sensitive surfaces. Bottom line: highly effective grout cleaner, just be mindful during application and protect surrounding areas.

It doesn’t clean as good as I thought it would

So I bought the Zep Grout Cleaner and Brightener. Then I was looking at a YouTube video on how to apply it and they mentioned that they were not satisfied with the results and ended up painting the lines on. I really came close to doing it as I started researching buying some grout paint. Then I changed my mind because I did that 15 years ago and was not happy with the results later. So I proceeded to apply the Zep Grout Cleaner and waited 3 1/2 minutes before scrubbing a 2X2 foot area in my bathroom. It’s not the cleanest it’s ever been, but it’s the cleanest. It’s been in five years. Seven years ago, I removed all the grout and re-grouted the floor and sealed it. The sealant didn’t even last three weeks, before the floor started looking grimy, even after I cleaned it.I was very upset. I have used the peroxide paste before on the floor and the Zep definitely worked better, but because I saw a video today, where a guy was comparing Zep and peroxide for cleaning floors, I actually think the cleaning magic comes from the ITTAR Grout Brush with Long Adjustable Handle, Swivel Scrub Brush, V-Shape Grout Line Scrubber with Stiff Bristle. I actually thought it was just a regular hard fiber bristle brush, on a mop stick and that it was just going to prevent me from bending over. It isn’t a fiber brush; it actuality it is metal bristles with an angle to get deep in the crevice of the grout. Mind you my grout is not bright white and is not perfect, but I no longer feel like I am living with “Sanford and Son”. Definitely get chemical gloves and wear a mask. I splashed some of this on my toilet seat and it ate the paint off of it. Although the stained baseboard, I wiped within seconds after scrubbing, and there was no problem with that or the stain that’s on the bath cabinet. Before applying the Zep, I sprayed Goo Gone on the floor around the toilet and rinsed the floor with water, then let it dry. So the before and after pictures you see, has the first picture with kind of a clean floor, but with zero scrubbing. Then once it dried, I took a picture and then began cleaning with the Zep.
