It’s vegan, easily digestible, and still keeps me feeling full and energized after a workout. If you’re looking for a high-quality, plant-based protein that tastes great and supports performance and recovery, this is definitely one of the best!

The taste of this protein powder is so good and I feel completely satisfied when I drink it, mixed with any plant based milk. I love using SOY for extra protein content, because I am VEGAN. It’s especially helpful to have the CREATINE, post workout, so to have it already in my mix is great.

Great stuff, as someone who gets lots of gas from whey, this is a perfect alternative. It’s sickly sweet though, so I recommend mixing cocoa powder into it to balance it out.

I am writing what everyone else is saying for the most part, hoping Vega sees this feedback is coming from their most dedicated fans and makes some changes. I have been drinking the Vega Sport Performance Protein Chocolate flavor regularly for 3 years, but more often in the winter/spring during training season. We had it delivered on Subscribe & Save so we always seemed to have more than we needed and I just broke into our first tub of the "new formula" about 3 weeks ago. Here is why I am writing a 1 star review for one of my all time favorite products: -The powder is so much finer! You would think this is a plus, smoother drink and all, but it's a total mess. I feel I have to hold my breath when I open the tub because so much as a whisper sends powder flying everywhere. Even the act of scooping and plopping into the blender bottle releases a cloud of brown dust that settles all over my counter. Also, the drink is...too smooth. It has the consistency of melted ice cream now. Melted cherry ice cream. -The scoop handle is smaller. I was always stabbing at the powder with a butter knife before to find the scoop, now even that misses it! Keep in mind Vega, you have a bunch of sweaty people making these drinks. The less my hand needs to be in that tub the better. -The cherry flavor is overwhelming. I could live with this addition of cherry, but the cherry flavor somehow tastes far more artificially sweet than the chocolate flavor did. If they could remove whatever additional sweetener is being used, I could make my peace with the cherry. -There really isn't more protein, just a bigger scoop. No detailed comment here, as I have already scavenged my old scoop from my last tub to keep my gross post-exercise hands out of the powder. I love the Vega brand, I have read Brendan's book (even made his disgusting pizza recipe), and I would probably be putting up with the change and hope for future improvement, but my husband cannot stand the cherry-sweetness, so now I am researching other vegan protein drinks which is something I never thought I would do!

Good quality protein powder. Dissolves quickly. Okay taste, but has a slight aftertaste.

This protein metabolizes in my system so much better than whey protein. I prefer the taste of chocolate over vanilla - it’s much more natural tasting. Easily put in smoothies or just water and enjoy!

I’ve been taking this protein or some version of it for a long time. I’ve tried many other brands but it’s tough to find such a great combination of clean ingredients, taste, and texture and calorie balance.

I was excited to try this protein for the NSF certification and protein content. It's plant based, but I don't care about that as much I was just looking for a supplement with a good amount of protein that's NSF certified that tastes good. Taste (2/5): didn’t love the chocolate. It’s definitely creamy and you taste chocolate but it’s got this weird sort of tartness (I believe it’s the tart cherry) that I didn’t enjoy as much. For me, it took away from the chocolate flavor Texture (3/5): SUPER THICK. It suggests doing 12 oz of water but I had to do more like 18-20oz due to how thick it was. As with most pea protein blends, it’s still got a chalky texture and taste but from all the pea proteins I’ve tried this seems to be the case. Overall, if you’re looking purely from a nutritional standpoint and content, it seems worth it. However, if you’re looking for a good tasting one, I’d probably try another flavor or another brand. The taste was bad enough for me to not recommend it.

I'm not fussy but tastes super disgusting to me .... well it will be gone in a month... just pinch my nose and find another brand.. taste is terrible

The downside is the texture—it tends to clump if not blended properly, so shaking it in a regular bottle doesn’t always cut it. Using a blender solves the problem, but it’s an extra step. Still, it’s a great choice for those who want high-quality protein with a delicious chocolate fix.
