I’ve used it for trimming branches, cutting small logs, and even cleaning up around my chicken tractors — it handles everything with ease. The saw has plenty of power for its size, and the V20 battery system delivers consistent performance without bogging down. It’s lightweight and perfectly balanced, which makes it easy to use one-handed when needed. The automatic chain oiling system works great, and the tool-free chain tensioning means I can tighten or adjust it on the fly. The included battery and charger are solid, and I usually get plenty of runtime for light-to-medium cutting tasks before needing a recharge. This is the perfect in-between tool — stronger than a pruning saw, but easier to handle than a full-size chainsaw. Ideal for property maintenance, firewood, or farm chores. Like all Craftsman tools, you have high expectations of quality and this tool does not disappoint. It comes out of the box ready to work. It is easy to maintain and as usual, it comes with clear easy to understand and follow instructions. The chain cuts through wood smoothly and clean. It is adequately powered for light to medium cutting. It has surprisingly long battery life.

Good little chain saw for around the yard. I had several trees fall into the creek behind our house. Beavers :(. Both trees were about 6-8” round. This chainsaw cut them up nicely. I like it’s battery powered so I don’t have to deal with gas. I won’t use it a lot. Therefore, it’s perfect for what I need it for.

I love the chainsaw. I'm a Craftsman woman. I have all their battery powered tools. I use this saw daily to cut my firewood to fit my tiny woodstove. It works well and cuts logs easily. However, the charger I received with the saw is horrible. I can charge 2 batteries in less time than that charger can charge half of a battery. I would recommend buying a different charger than the one included.

This little chainsaw is a treat to use. I was quickly able to cut up some medium-sized fallen trees (< 6" trunk size) on my property without any issues. My only issue is that it does not come with chain oil, and I recommend that you get some good branded oil when you purchase the chainsaw. I charged up the battery once, and took care of all the wood I needed to cut without recharging, so I know the battery life is good, but don't know how long it lasts with sustained use.

My stepfather worked in forestry until he retired a couple years ago so I know my way around a chainsaw and am familiar with what they can do. Gas powered saws have always been considered to be the tool for anything other than a small job since electric just don't have the power This could not have been more wrong. It might be the brand or modern electric saws are far superior to what they used to be. Either way, this thing has blown me away. And it's so quiet and doesn't smell so wins all around I got this to clear brush in my yard and found it light and easy to use (just a bit of chain oil and you're good to go). I figured out pretty quickly that the power this puts out and how sturdy it is as a whole made it's utility a lot more than expected. Before long I was cutting down full size trees. The bar is short compared to some professional saws but I'm not felling anything massive so whatever. Anything the bar reaches past, this thing will cut. I even recently used it inside to cut up old furniture to make it easier to dispose of. The fabric and stuffing of a couch cushion did knock the chain off but that was on me. I cleaned out all the balled up cotton, re-set the chain and was good to go again

Very impressive little saw. Which says a lot I’m very particular.. battery life and quality of the overall build is outstanding. The chainsaw made quick work out of the tree line. On the church’s property. Now, when I trim my property , I won’t have to wonder if my gas chainsaw will work or drag the extension cord out.

Works great for smaller jobs.

Not a bad little saw for light work around the house or to throw in your ATV. The battery will only last about 20 minutes with regular use if you’re lucky. Works good for my intended use.

Muchos desconocen que Craftsman pertenece a la misma empresa de Stanley Black - Decker, al igual que DeWalt. Siendo poseedor de la gran mayoria de herramientas que Craftsman ha lanzado (V20), les digo que no tiene nada que envidiarle a DeWalt, de hecho, ni se siente alguna diferencia. Esta motosierra tiene una calidad excepcional! Tanto la cadena, la barra y el motor en si. Debo mencionar que la sierra no es para uso rudo, pero debido a una infestacion de Bambu que hubo en mi terreno en mi ausencia (aprox unos 100 bambus de un grosor de 10 a 15cm cada uno y mas de 10 metros de altura) le he dado un uso diario en esos 5 meses tan brutal, que tenia contemplado comprarme otra porque dudaba que fuese aguantar el trabajo y hasta ahorita ha cumplido increiblemente!! Las ventajas son que el material del que esta hecho se siente rigido, macizo, de buena calidad. La bateria que incluye (al menos la mía) fue de 4ah, lo cual es muy poco para la que lo ocupe. Adquiri una extra de 6ah, y con un uso continuo sin parar dura aprox 30min. La desventaja que le veo es que las baterias de mayor capacidad (9ah) son excesivamente caras, y que toma mucho tiempo cargar completamente las baterias apropiadas para su uso. Otra desventaja es que desperdicia demasiado aceite y se tiene que andar limpiando constantemente ya que el aserrin queda adherido a la cubierta. Pero de ahi en fuera, es muy buena herramienta. Sin duda me compraria otra.

This chainsaw is instant start! No pull cord! Lightweight! Just add bar oil and go! Long lasting battery, cuts steadily through medium sized branches and small logs. Multiple reviews rated battery life the LONGEST among competitors... at this pointl personally , only time will tell... individual charges last long on this saw, and on the wet/dry vacuum as well. This larger battery is twice as long lasting as the standard issue drill battery. (4ah vs 2ah) I committed to craftsman 20v systems after reading the reviews, and I think it was an excellent decision. I will review their other products as well.

I absolutely love this cordless chainsaw. It’s perfect for quick cuts that are too thick to use losers or pruners on. Perfect for people who don’t want to mix gas and deal with the heavy weight of a standard gas chainsaw for smaller jobs. Battery lasts a long time. Wish I had bought this sooner
