Affordable And Effecient!
I didn't want to break the bank. So, I settled with this headlamp. At first, I was worried it was gonna be a cheap, easily breakable waste of money. Little did I know I was very wrong. This headlamp has been used for the last two years for night runs and all my races ranging from 50Ks to a 100 miler. It works incredibly. I've never owned another headlamp before. So, I cannot really compare it to other lamps but I will say it seems to be a solid, well made lamp. The battery life on a full set of batteries will give you at least 6 hours of use from my experience. Very well lit for night time running. The issue I've found with this lamp, which probably is the same with all headlamps, is visuals when its raining, snowing, or foggy. It certainly makes it harder to see where you are going. Again, its probably common with all headlamps. So, don't let this throw you off. Conclusion, look into picking this up if you are in the market for an affordable yet effective headlamp.

Caving Friendly
I figure if this thing is bright enough to light my way in a wild cave with no other light source, then it's bright enough to light up most other situations. The light is balanced more toward white/blue than I like, but at the price I can't complain about that. The band was stretchy enough that it fit comfortably over my helmet, as well as being comfortable on the head. The light itself is able to rotate down, which is useful for not blinding others/seeing what's on the ground ahead, and I like that it has the strobe feature as well as the red light. The strobe is great if you need to get attention directed toward you. The red light was nice for when all I needed was to see something in my campground without lighting up the whole site (there is also a red light strobe, which I didn't utilize, but I know would be useful for cyclists/runners). This is a button setting and not a separate filter if that matters to you, but for my purposes it worked great. I haven't fully tested the battery life yet, but it was fine for a weekend camping trip with heavy-ish use (2.5 hrs straight use in the cave) on only the batteries it came with, so I was pleased with it.

Just get two, you won't regret it.
I bought two of these (one orange and one green) for a 4 day backpacking / mt climbing trip based on the reviews and the light weight. The orange one exceeded my expectations. The green one would fall off the band but the orange one had a thicker band and was really solid. I was contacted by the company and mentioned this, they are sending a thick green band at no charge. About the light: It is certainly bright enough to hike at night, it is very light, the batteries last a long time. Low setting is good for around the camp or reading, and the red is very good for using in the tent. It was dropped a few times with no problems, I wore it in driving rain and still no problems. I've used military streamlights and this light is preferred as it is more of a flood. The red flashing is not needed for camping but I can see it would be useful for walking at night around traffic. Durability seems really good also, with thick plastic that doesn't feel cheap at all. About the customer service: I received a follow up mail checking that I received them, I responded with the band issue and immediately was offered a replacement. I don't think these guys realize that they have great brand value because the customer service is so exceptional in today's throw away economy. I would buy from them again, they are standing behind their product.

Solid value for the money
So I purchased two of these, one for myself and one as a gift for my Dad. Both work great and I'm excited to try mine out in the backcountry and really test it out. It comes with batteries which is always nice, and the beam pattern is solid, nice and round and provides okay peripheral lighting, but definitely more on the spotlight then floodlight side of things, but still well balanced. I personally prefer a more oblong floodlight pattern, but for the price I can't complain. I haven't had it long enough nor had the opportunity to use it long enough to really comment on battery life, so that will potentially be updated later once I've used it more if I remember to update this review. Back to the product, it is light, the styling is very cool in my opinion in the white and green color, you can adjust the angle of the lamp downward, the strap is adjustable enough to fit on a ski helmet, so it should work for climbing helmets too, and the battery hatch seems waterproof but is also easy to open. I would not recommend this as a bike light spare for night mountain biking, but I'm biased in that For night riding I want something that is almost rivaling a cars headlight, and that's simply not what this is designed for. As a general camping and hiking and around the house headlamp, this is brilliant and an excellent value. I have yet to test the water resistance, but I do believe that it can survive drops into small puddles and rain or snow without issue. I wouldn't deliberately submerge it, but the battery door gasket is substantial enough to make me believe it will hold up in the intended operating conditions without issue. So you're probably wondering, why 4 instead of 5 stars? Which is a great question, since I pretty much only praised it above. Well for me, a 5 star product has to be truly exceptional, and I haven't had it long enough to accurately make that call, but the potential is there if it proves to be extremely reliable. I personally would also like to see a somewhat more advanced user interface, either a two button system where there is a single button just for on and off, and another one on the side to change modes, or a software change so that it requires a long press to turn it on and off, and short presses to cycle through the modes once it is on. Either system would be a nice improvement to the system and help ensure it doesn't turn on in a pack, but definitely aren't necessary to the function of the headlamp. the systems would also improve the lifespan by decreasing the amount of button presses required to use the headlamp. Just to be clear, I haven't hiked or camped with this yet, and I'm not expecting it to turn on my pack and I doubt it will, but a safe guard against it happening is always a nice feature if you plan on relying on this light while backpacking. And again, as I said above, it works great and is an awesome value, but it would be even better with a slightly more advanced user interface. I think that sums things up nicely. I 100% would recommend this headlamp so far, especially if you are just getting into camping or hiking and need a headlamp.

I love the headlamp. Super bright LED. Press once for light, second press super bright like high beam on a car. Wonderful for where I am night walks in the mountains. Third press and you get the red lights ar the sides of the main light. You can have them strobe, like hazard lights, or on red all the time. Really happy with it. I will definitely be purchasing more for the whole family. Good for hiking, bike riding, rollar blading or most dry sports.

Schnelle Lieferung, tolle Lampe.
